Last week was a hot one! 🥵 think we only managed 1 or 2 days of walks! Looking forward to a cooler week out with our furry friends! 🐾

It did give us some time to get a little organised and with that we have a few reminders for everyone!

Myself & Ryan are on holiday from Friday! We are back walking from Monday 19th August! ☀️
We have contacted owners about any changes to their walks but if anyone has any questions please let me know! ☺️

**We have all our holiday dates at the bottom of all our invoice emails, including Christmas shut down. 🎄

We will have no social group on Tuesday 13th or Thursday 15th August! 🦮

We will also have no homeboarding or day care available during this time. 🏡

Our home boarding is pretty full until October, we only have a few days left with availability.

And on our return we will have a new addition to our Muddy Paws team, which we’re super excited for! ⭐️

We are still looking for someone to come and join our team! ⭐️

We’ve had loads of interest, but please bare in mind you must be able to drive and have a suitable car big enough to safely transport our furry friends to their walks! 🐾

⭐️ Join Our Team ⭐️

We recently posted about a flexible position on our team. However, due to schedule changes for some of our clients, we have some fixed days available.

We have 2 exciting opportunities coming up and are looking for someone to come and join our Muddy Paws team, taking some of our doggies out on their group and solo walks and popping in for visits to some of our fabulous furry friends! 🦮🐕‍🦺🐕

We need someone who loves animals of all shapes and sizes (whether they have fur or feathers!), enjoy being outdoors no matter the weather, and have a positive can do attitude! We do provide training but would ideally like someone with experience of working with animals. 🐶🐈

We pride ourselves on being flexible and accommodating for our customers, their walk days/times can change depending on what they need each week.
Whilst we have set days available, we need someone to join our team who can be flexible throughout the week and accommodate these changes too. Please only apply for this position if you’re able to work to a schedule that changes weekly. ♥️

We are based in Pocklington and cover the surrounding villages, this means that applicants must also have a suitable vehicle which is big enough to safely and comfortably transport our doggies from their homes to local walks. One which they don’t mind being used by our furry friends with muddy paws. 🐾🐾

We do require a DBS check, and will provide canine first aid training also. If this sounds like your perfect fit please get in touch! 🐶🐾🦮🐈

Oh my god! Someone pass mum the tissues!! Milo turns 2 today and I cannot cope! 🥹🎉🐾♥️

Not only is Milo 2, but next week also marks 1 year since Ryan said “he’s coming home”, and I can hands down say he was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made! 🥹 If anyone is wondering what it’s like to have two dogs - absolutely incredible! ♥️

Milo is amazing, loves everyone and has the cheekiest character ever. He is the best in our household at cuddles - you may not be able to breathe with all 32 kilo’s laid across you, but it’s so worth it!! 🥹 And you’re best off hiding in another room if you want to eat a full meal to yourself - he can be very, very sassy if you don’t share!! 😂

We will be spending the weekend celebrating - cake, treats, and lots of playtime are on the agenda! So all calls and messages will be responded to on Monday! 🐾🎉 Milo deserves all the attention and love we can give him, and we’re excited to spoil him rotten.🎂🥳🎈

We are on a mission to complete the admin tasks this evening, and now our website has been updated, we can share some very exciting news!

We will be taking on the weekly Tuesday and Thursday socials from A & B Dog Training from next week!

These are 1 hour groups from 9:00am, and are hosted at Barmby Fields - Dog Walking Fields.

Ryan has found him wandering around the Everingham/Harswell area.
He will be taking him to the vets to check for a chip 👍🏻

We were up with the sun yesterday morning and headed out for a long walk in Thixendale!🐾

☀️ This is one of the routes Walking the Wolds have explored and I can understand why they love it so much! Such a beautiful walk and a fabulous way to start our Sunday! You can find a detailed description of the route on their website! 🐶

☀️ Sunshine is here!! ☀️

With the hot weather upon us, we thought it would be a good time to share our weather policy! 🐾

We will do our scheduling for the week as normal, and check what is expected for the following day. We will make the following changes depending on what is predicted…

☀️ 20 Degrees and below:
Walks will continue as normal.

☀️ 21 - 23 Degrees:
Walks will continue but caution will be taken - shaded walking routes and those with access to water. Our cars will be kept cool for transportation and we shall carry water on us. Exercise shall be monitored and dogs put on lead if we feel they are exercising too rigorously.

☀️ 24 - 26 Degrees:
As these temperatures usually peak between 12:00noon and 3:00pm, we shall only be doing morning walks in the cooler temperatures and have visits available throughout the afternoon.

☀️ 27+ Degrees:
All walks cancelled and visits only.

Owners shall be contacted the evening before to advise them of any changes to walks the following day. 🐾

Please help us keep your pets cool! If you have frozen treats for after their walks, extra bowls of water, cooling collars, jackets, and mats that would be highly appreciated! 🐾

Should we feel that the heat is too much during walks, then they shall be stopped and dogs returned home. 🐶

We have always been extra cautious. We know there are days when we cancel walks, and the weather has been cooler than predicted. However, it’s better to be safe than sorry, and we’d rather not put any of our dogs at risk. 🐾

🎉 We’ve put aside the admin tasks this weekend to focus on celebrating someone’s very special birthday!! 🎉

Our best ball thrower and leash untangler turns 30 today! 🐾🎈

Without Ryan’s unwavering support and daily humour, none of this would be possible! I’m extremely grateful and feel very lucky to have him by my side! 🥰🎁

We are currently off celebrating this amazing milestone, but don’t worry – we’ll be back to work on Wednesday, well-rested and raring to go! 🎉🎂

I’d love one myself, but we can’t fit anymore in at home, so here I am trying to convince everyone else to take one so I can still love them!! 😂♥️

Friday was a pretty sad day! We said one of our hardest goodbyes - as this big bundle of fun and his pawrents moved to their new home! 🏡🥲

The start and end to my week won’t be the same without this boy!
Conan has always brought so much fun to our walks - he’s formed really close bonds with some of our dogs in the groups, conquered his fear of the car every week, and has had some of the most muddiest walks ever!! 🐶🐾

We wish them all the best in their new home! 🥹🏡
P.s. a warning for his next walker - do not bend down near a river - he WILL push you in with zero hesitation! 😂♥️

🐾 We’ve had some fabulous walks, visits and guests come to our Muddy Paws B&B! We’ve had some great trips to the beach too! ⭐️

🐾 We had a fabulous quiz night last week! This time it was our owners turn to come and join us for a fun evening celebrating our 2nd birthday! We’re already planning next years! 🥳

🐾 We also recently had a re-inspection for our home boarding and we are still a 5 star establishment! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

🎉🐾 It’s a special day in the Muddy Paws household!! We have more celebrating to do as our Harvey is 10 today! 🥳🎂

We’ve dug well into the archives for some of these cuties! 🥹🐾 Puppy Harvey was definitely not the easiest - a plaster eating little bundle of chaos! 10 years later and he’s grown into the most charming gentleman, so kind natured, with an extra bit of sass! ♥️🎉

Myself and Ryan have so much to be grateful for!! Our amazing customers, fabulous team and our family and friends - you all give us endless amounts of support and recommendations, we really wouldn’t be where we are today without you all! 🥹🐾

We also have to say a special thanks to our fabulous furry family too! We’re extremely lucky to be able to care for so many incredible pets, and every single one is amazing in their own unique little way! 🐾♥️
