Day one of nominations.... and we have received a serious candidate. It's so serious that we have made an exception as he is wreaking total havoc.

So... today, on day one of nominations, we have confirmed him as our first challenger and case study!

Onyx's free Houdini Genius rug is on its way to his owner, and we will share his videos as we go!

Tag your friends or nominate any prevalent fence wreckers, and they could be our next challenger!!

Own a fence vandal? Nominate your own... or a friends horse to be a Guardian vs Houdini case study!!

We want 5 really good Houdini examples to demonstrate how effective our rugs are at preventing escapes.

All you need to do is a video introduction of your horse, explaining their escaping habits and why they NEED a Guardian electric fence rug.

* Send us your houdini introduction video before 10th October
* We will pick our 5 favourites
* Those 5 will be sent a rug (FREE)
* Send us your follow up video in 2-4 weeks time after

The videos can be short/long/in the field/in the stable.... anywhere, what we want to hear is all about your horse, and all about their escapes.

I've been thinking all day what I should post for new years, after changing my mind 500 times..... not knowing which picture would represent my gratitude to you all and show my absolute pride in what we have achieved this year.

In the end.... I decided I would do our post tomorrow as I like doing things differently... and I LOVE new years day.... and then...... this!!!

This message came through... to me these words and their timing means the world! Business is hardcore and it can be mighty tough.... then you get messages like this, and it is such a boost.

So a huge and heartfelt thank you, Jacqueline, your words have inspired me today. And a huge thank you to ALL our wonderful customers new and old, in the uk and around the world 🌎 .... you are all the reason for Guardian.

Here is my manifest for 2025. Guardian let's go..... new products (tiny rugs for smalls and fly rugs (shhhh dont tell anyone) and chasing the international winds.

Where it all started, 12 years ago, when I hand finished every order on an industrial sewing machine in my parents' shed.

The top two pics with blue/silver rugs was taken at my first ever event at london excel age 25, with my amazing sister and cousin to help.

Skip forward to today..... im glad to say no more sewing in the shed.... my oh my how far we have come!

The lovely thing is, we have customers from right back when we started that are still ordering today.... I see you all, and I thank you all!

This year's red rugs and packaging are looking fantastic. I haven't managed to get a pic of my heard in their new ruggles in daylight yet, if anyone has any pictures of their horses or ponies we would absolutely love to see them ❤️🐎❤️

How are our rugs so effective at preventing escapes from electric fencing?

Below you can see a voltage tester touching the inside of a normal turnout rug when in contact with a 3.6k volt fence and only 0.1 volts is recorded on the inside of the rug. This is because the thick fabrics and wadding act as barrier. 0.1 volts isn't enough to stop a mouse let alone a horse and is the reason horses easily and regularly escape electric fencing when rugged.

However our Guardian rugs are specifically designed to work with electric fencing; the voltage tester records the full 3.6k volts on the inside of the rug. There is absolutely no wires or batteries, just clever fabrics carrying the zap from the outside, instantly to the inside of the turnout rug.

Our neck covers work in exactly the same way; so our rugs are excellent at stopping the leaners and the duckers as much as the barge straight through type.

Your horse feels exactly the same effect from your fence when rugged as they would when not wearing a rug at all, keeping them safe on the right side of their fence all day, every day.
