🐾 Dear valued customers & friends of Heckleby's,

We're reaching out to share some unfortunate news regarding our business. Our trusty vehicle, wholly essential for our Dog Walking Services, has broken down unexpectedly. We're deeply sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, as we're unable to reach every single dog for their much-awaited walkies.

Please know that this situation is entirely out of our control, and we're doing everything in our power to resolve it as quickly as possible. On top of this, we're also dealing with a personal bereavement issue, making these times especially testing for us.

To those customers we've regrettably lost during this challenging period, we extend our sincerest apologies. Your support means the world to us, and we're immensely grateful for your understanding and patience.

To our loyal customers who continue to support Heckleby's, we cannot thank you enough. Your unwavering support keeps us going during these tough times, and we're truly grateful for each and every one of you.

Please bear with us as we navigate through these challenges. We're committed to overcoming them and getting back to providing our top-notch service to you and your furry friends.

🔧It's been a very testing month for us as a business and as a hooman. With various hurdles thrown our way, both logistical & personal.

🦀 Lovely Sunday jaunt round Thorney Island across some rather insane terrain to test-drive the new pug buggy.

🦵 Martin's arthritis is getting worse, slowly losing the use of his back legs. Very stiff & can't walk as far these days.

🏞️ Invested in a pull-along buggy, so he can still join us on family adventures.

❤️ Instead of leaving Martin at home. Luckily it's big enough for two!

🐾 The OG - Piggy the Pug turns 8️⃣

🐷 Retired therapy pug Pig now enjoys his senior dog years with the same zest-for-life as always. Living every day bravely & boldly as a dog does all too well ♥️

👣 Explored the Sussex Border Path Trail

🏞️ Babbling brooks into swelling rivers with bursting banks & flooded fields. Crossing cow fields, passing horse riders, through tunnels & over bridges.

🏰 Even passed Hugh Grant's mansion, wow!

🍺 Pit stop in a very warm village pub, the White Horse in Westbourne. Parked our cheeks next to a crackling fire, scoffed succulent beef roast with yorky puds, whilst sipping on smooth stouts.

☮️ Peaceful and pawfect Sundays

He never played with children on clean grass,
Nor dozed at ease beside the glowing embers,
Nor watched with hopeful eye the tea-cakes pass,
Nor smelt the heather-smell of Scotch Septembers,
For he was born amid a world at war
Although unrecking what we struggled for.
Yet who shall say that Bingo was unblest
Though all his Sprattless† life was passed beneath
The roar of mortars and the whistling breath
Of grim, nocturnal heavies going west?
Unmoved he heard the evening hymn of hate,
Unmoved would gaze into his master's eyes.
For all the sorrows men for men create
In search of happiness wise dogs despise,
