Fact Friday - European Goldfinch eggs are so tiny that they could fit on a teaspoon! They’re usually pale blue with delicate reddish speckles, almost like nature’s own miniature artworks. The female goldfinch does all the incubating, while the male brings her food. Once the chicks hatch, they grow fast and leave the nest in just two weeks, transforming from helpless hatchlings into beautifully feathered little birds.

Fact Friday - Long-tailed T**s are known for building incredibly intricate, dome-shaped nests made from moss, spider silk, and even feathers! 🐦🪶 These tiny birds put a lot of effort into creating safe, cozy homes for their families.

📸 It’s Back – Our Photo Competition Returns! 🐦🌿

We’ve absolutely loved running this competition over the past two years – and we’re excited to announce it’s back for 2025!

Whether it's garden birds on your feeders, a cheeky squirrel, or a wildlife moment caught out on a countryside walk – we want to see your best shots! 📷

We're looking for stunning wildlife photos that we can share across our Facebook, email newsletters, and website – helping to bring a little more nature to everyone’s day.

🌟 One overall winner will receive a brilliant bird feeding set-up worth over £70 – including a feeding station, feeders, and a selection of top-quality bird food.

Reminder - Cups&Go will be joining us again on Monday from 10-2:30 at our shop in Long Clawson!

We love supporting local and this is a fantastic way for you to do so too!

Like last week, we will have seating available along with opening up our fields so you can come and walk your dogs (or yourself!)
