🌈 OVER THE RAINBOW BRIDGE 🌈

Apologies for being silent over the last few days. I received some sad news this week and it’s been an emotional rollercoaster. For the first time since setting up my business, the news of the loss of a dog has truly hit me hard 💔

There are disadvantages to every job, but when you love and care for a pet as if they’re your own, spending endless hours with them over numerous months, it’s always so very heartbreaking to say goodbye.

In loving memory of little Tilley — Though their paws may no longer walk beside us, their love will forever remain in our hearts 💖

To those with furry companions, please take a moment to cuddle them extra tight today. Our time with them is precious and they make our lives brighter in ways words can’t express.

A delightful, playful bundle of energy with a sweet and adorable personality! She’s all about tummy rubs, endless games of fetch and has a big love for balls 🎾

I had the joy of spending some of the weekend with Lucy and I’m thrilled to share that she’ll be joining the Paws Galore gang for walks and play days 🐾

I’m starting to think a rebrand to MUDDY Paws Galore might be in order 🤣

But hey, there’s a silver lining — frozen mud means no mucky dogs and spotting those little “treasures” amongst the frozen leaves is easier than ever! 😅

Rawhide products may look appealing on store shelves during the Christmas period, but do you really know what you’re giving your dog? While they might seem like a festive gift, rawhide can pose serious health risks that no pet parent wants to face!

Here’s why rawhide isn’t the ideal Christmas treat:

❌ 𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗛𝗮𝘇𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀: Rawhide can splinter or break into large chunks that are difficult to swallow. These pieces can become lodged in your dog’s throat or cause dangerous digestive blockages.
❌ 𝗧𝗼𝘅𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝘀: Many rawhide products are treated with chemicals like bleach or preservatives that can harm your dog. While they may look clean and white, they’re anything but natural.
❌ 𝗣𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: Unlike other treats, rawhide doesn’t break down easily in a dog’s stomach. This can lead to painful gastrointestinal issues that could require emergency veterinary care.
❌ 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Rawhide is often processed in facilities that may not meet high standards of cleanliness, which can lead to contamination with bacteria like Salmonella. This puts both pets and humans at risk.
❌ 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: Some dogs have sensitivities or allergies to the chemicals used in rawhide production, leading to symptoms like vomiting, diarrhoea, or skin irritation.

Make this Christmas a happy and healthy one for your furry friend! Skip the rawhide and opt for natural treats 🎁
