It has been a while since I posted anything as there has been a lot of extra life, good and bad, going on ! Hopefully things have calmed down a bit now. This pair are the beautiful rescues Hamish and Eddie. Hamish full of confidence and very friendly, Eddie more reserved but just needs a bit of patience. Graphite on paper.

This lovely trio are Bella, Yoshi and Apple. Sadly Bella is no longer with us and her human misses her massively. I drew Bella in graphite a few years ago but her owner also wanted her represented in colour. (Oil on board)

This is the beautiful but a little cheeky, Astra. She doesn't really like to be still but loves her food (particularly cheese toasties) so we managed to persuade her to sit for a few photos. Her owner commissioned 2 watercolour and ink paintings. One of her now and one when she was only about 12 weeks old, as a Christmas present for her husband. We were a bit restricted with good photos to work from for her puppy painting but I think it turned out ok particularly with this more illustrative style :)

I love it when I see clients enjoying their surprise pet portrait. This lovely pair are Bess and Josie painted in watercolour and ink. Sadly Bess is no longer with us but her owner was keen for her to be side by side with their new pup Josie.

Looking forward to having a stall at the Kinross Show this Saturday. In between doing pet portraits I have been busy painting some wee ceramic birds and mini robin oils to sell on the day. Why not pop along and have a look at all the crafts, dog show, flower show, cattle, goats, horses and much more.

Graphite drawing of cute little Toffa who sat beautifully for her photographs. I drew her mum a few years ago so it was lovely to be able to do a drawing of the next generation for her family.

I hadn't quite realised how long it had been since I posted last ! Time flies scaringly fast sometimes. Anyway here is one of my recent oil paintings, Todd a beautiful black lab. I haven't had the pleasure in meeting Todd in person but his owners sent lots of photos to me to work from.

This is an oil painting of the beautiful Arlo. Sadly Arlo recently passed away at only 2 years old. I was lucky enough to meet him and he was a lovely boy and a wonderful poser. You will be greatly missed Arlo.

I love drawing and painting dogs but it is nice every now and then to paint a cat or two. These beauties are Korben and Leeloo painted loosely in watercolour and ink.

This is the lovely Pekoe, a lab/wired haired pointer cross. She sat beautifully for her photos and was fun to draw with all that crazy fur.

This cute little pair are Harris and Lewis. A watercolour and ink portrait which I do in a loose, squiggly more illustrative way than my graphite drawings and oil paintings :)

This is little Mario. He was a perfect model and sat brilliantly for me to take photos for his drawing. It was great to see the family so happy with their surprise Christmas gift.

In between finishing off some secret commissions, I have completed some robin oil paintings and painted robins on small ceramic hearts just in time for Christmas. They will be for sale at Dollar Winter Festival on Saturday 3rd December and thereafter direct from myself. Message me for details :)

This is Pebbles. She is a lovely wee soul, a bit deaf and blind due to old age and a lip that often tucks up under her tooth but she is much loved companion and family member.
