3/4 of our perfect recent puppy class grads!

Can't even begiiiiin to tell you how much I love these pups + their humans - their dedication + all round good vibes made this class such a joy to teach 🫶🏼

Our next course starts on 6th December from our lovely indoor space right by Walthamstow High Street + we have 1 space left should anyone wish to join! (Link in bio etc etc) ✨

a recent wild-ish adventure to Suffolk 🏕️

camping is one of my absolute faaaavourite things to do with Hux + although it can take a bit of mental planning to make sure everyone is safe and happy, it's always been worth it for us!

we stayed at a nearly-wild campsite this time so it was pretty much just us and the trees, but we've previously stayed at ones with loads of dog-ready amenities like enclosed dog parks 🌲

having a dog with some sensitivities, I tend to look for places with nice big pitches, the ability to park right by the pitch (we use our van as a place for Hux to chill out if we need to be away from the tent at all) and I tend to choose a spot that doesn't have lots of footfall going past, but it's always an adapt + learn situation the more we go! see also: adding a toddler into the mix 🌙

too cold to get another camp in before the end of the year, do you reckon? 🍂

October term is here + as if by magic all the puppies are really cute again?! Wild

If today's class was anything to go by, these pups are going to flyyyy with their learning 💖

(I was too busy sussing them all out to take good photos today but I swear I'll get some better ones next week! Maybe!)

So you want a cafe dog? ☕

Welcome to my new little series where I share the necessary skills for experiencing different environments with your dog 🐕

Anyone who has followed me for a long time will know that I'm a big advocate for getting comfortable with the fact that you don't *need* your dog to go anywhere social that they don't enjoy, but when it comes to training I thought it might be useful to break things down a bit, and hopefully help with your expectations of what life with a dog in the city might look like! 🚌

Did you know socialising your dog is about more than just putting them in new situations and letting them figure it out?

So many people I meet with new dogs or puppies feel huge pressure to throw their dog into as many things as possible, but if we don't work with the dog that we have, this can cause our dogs to actually become sensitised to environments rather than desensitising them!

Careful + considered socialisation is key to helping your dog become familiar and comfortable with the world around them, and this doesn't always look as exciting as you might think 🐶

Had the joy of meeting this completely delicious and ridiculously clever rescue pup this morning! She's only been in her home for a few days but she is already so settled 💛

She's a Cocker Spaniel X German Shepherd, so it only makes sense that she's a tiny (for now) genius 🧠

Her wonderful human + I chatted all things enrichment, developmental expectations, starting skills and meeting both of their goals for a lovely life together ✨

A bit in love and eagerly awaiting my next visit already!
