Trailing and Cadaver Dogs For the assistance in the location and recovery of missing persons. BEAR Search Dogs currently has five dogs attached to it.

Zea is a Malinois GSD mix and is trained in 'Trailing', this means that once given the scent of the lost person and placed in an area they were last seen, she can follow the 'trail' of their scent in the environment to then either locate the person or locate areas which further the investigation. Leigh is a black Labrador who is in training for open search, cadaver detection and water search work.

Hades is a Black and Tan Beauceron who is in training for open search, cadaver detection, trauma scene detection and water search work. Kronos is a 18 month old Bloodhound who is training for trailing work. Thor is an 18 month old Rottweiler who is training for detection work.
