What more can penny do?

Penny arrived in our care nearly a year ago, 11 months in rescue.

In that time she’s had 2 visits.

BBC news , UTV news , her story shared hundreds, thousands of times.

And still she waits……

Penny is the sweetest girl, she’s had such a tough time and whilst we know she’s very very happy and settled here we desperately want her to have a family to call her own.

She’s an absolute joy, after all she’s been through in the hands of humans you would think she would be frightened, scared. She’s just amazing.
She meets us every morning with a great big teddy bear in her mouth and a while body wag.

This family in Ukraine are carrying their 80 pound weight arthritic family member through an absolute living hell to save them and not leave anyone behind! 🐾🇺🇦

😻 Do you want to help ensure cats in need are well cared for?

😻 Do you want to shower them with love whilst they await their forever home?

If so, please apply to become a member of the Almost Home Cat Crew. You could help make a huge difference to animals in need.

❗We specifically need volunteers to help cover the day time shifts during the week as well as evenings at the weekend.❗

🐾 Are you over 18 or recently retired?
🐾 Do you work shifts?
🐾 Is your job part time?
🐾 Do you want to do something meaningful at the weekend?

If so you might be the PURRfect addition to the Crew!

What you can expect as a member of the Cat Crew:

🐈 Complete 1 shift per week,
🐟 Feed and water our furry residents,
🧽 Clean and disinfect their living spaces,
🧶 Provide socialisation and play,
💡Come up with fundraising ideas and attend events.

We would love to welcome you to our team! Caring for animals in rescue isn't always easy but it is one of the most rewarding things you can do. ❤️
