FINALLY, we've got some more positive news for you all!! 🥳🥳🥳

I have been on absolute tender hooks awaiting Rosie's biopsy results and hoping it will be a better outcome than anticipated.
Rosie was said to potentially have cancer and needed a biopsy to confirm this.
Well, we had this done of course... and she is currently CANCER FREE!!!! 🥳🥳🥳🥳

The vets are not sure what the mass is that she has in her abdominal area but currently it is not bothering her in any form and isn't terminal like first thought, so we'll keep an eye on her and spoil her rotten in the meantime!
There's no point exploring things and putting her through a potentially life threatening procedure with her age to figure out what isn't causing a problem so until it starts to show complications, we will leave her be under vets advice.
I am absolutely OVER THE MOON with this result!!! ❤️

One down... two more sick babies to explore.

We're taking back control of our financial situation! 🥰
You will remember this previous post months ago.
Comments are off as it is a warning to those that are applicable.

I am no longer going without and struggling for others enjoyment so I'm clearing up the last things needed.
Some fosters do not want us to place out dogs other than with them but equally will not pay small homing fees, I have admittedly been too soft.
If homing fees are not given as promised by mid April (another 3 weeks) unless otherwise agreed, we will be registering those dogs as stolen on their chip and everywhere else.
Contracts will also need to be signed for legal adoption and unless they are and the dog is in your name, they are not yours and must be returned to the rescue during this time.
This is not up for negotiation, months is long enough.
If the dogs are not given back or fees paid, we will be going down the route of small claims court and other legal avenues.
I am tired of being taken advantage of and fosters taking the mick putting us in the boiler over fees so small that is needed for our veterinary bills.
We have been more than lenient and patient.
It all adds up and is leaving very sick animals without, it could have paid for tomorrow veterinary bill but instead we've got to find it!!
Enough is enough!

All fosters from this point onwards will be FOSTER ONLY with no potential to adopt due to this.

My name is Frankie and I am a 7 month old French bulldog who is looking for a new human.
(Frankie is a GIRL!🌸)
I am good with cats and other dogs but I can occasionally be dominant to certain dogs at the start.
To start with i will be a typical frenchie where i will grumble a little bit but I quickly get used to other dogs and play like a bat out of hell after i get used to them! (As seen in the videos!)
I am a little 'big b***d' at the moment so I am on limited feeding.
I can be a bit over loving!
No health complications and fully vaccinated.
Up to date on all.

My perfect people will have no young children under 8 please, all resident dogs if any MUST be neutered/spay and i must have access to an appropriate secure garden 😀

We had a call today about a snake found in Trowbridge.
They had lost him 2 months prior and thinking he was gone forever, they sold his setup!
But... he returned! 😆
We've now taken him on and after he's health checked and quarantined, he will be looking for a new human.

We've been asked a lot recently how our followers can help the animals currently in our care and the ones about to be.
Here is how you can!

1 - We are currently looking for a pond like the one below for some rescues needing to be quarantined.
We would grab this one, but sadly it is way too far out for our reach!
If anyone has one spare... please bare us in mind! :)

2 - Each week we use a ridiculous amount of the lettuces pictured for a variety of animals.
If you'd like to help us and the animals in our care without offering pennies, this is a real handy way that you can and we would be entirely grateful!
We also use poultry corn, guinea pig nuggets, rabbit nuggets, whiskas kitten food wet and poultry layers pellets each week so even this would massively help us day to day!

4 - We are in desperate need of bark, as much as we can get hold of.
You could help us by getting a bag of bark for the animals!
We desperately need this to add to current enclosure floors so our animals have a nice environment around them.
We are also battling a bit of mud in one pen at the moment, so this would massively help with this!

Spoilt buggers.

A video of this little bugger on his journey caught by someone's wildlife cam in Selwood Crescent! We caught him because for whatever reason, he was coming back home!! He had all that land, all that freedom and the bugger still wanted to come home! 😆 He had gone from Selwood Crescent, to Tesco and then looped round to come back to the rescue. My grandmother called me to say a skunk had gone off as the dogs came back in after a toilet break absolutely stinking of it and gassing the entire house out too! 😆 There he was, trying to dig back into his enclosure. It took a little while to catch him as he was spooked but we managed it bless him. We spent 3 hours sat on a stake out trying to see if he would appear near Tesco and the bugger was walking home each night to try come back to bed!! Yes ... he's well loved and we're still trying to get his weight down! 😆

It took us a ridiculous amount of time to go for a walk today...😆 Can you guess why?! This pup certainly takes her time! Her name may change yet, we're unsure! We just need to find what sticks! The other girl was with us too but she was all wrapped up in my jacket as she didn't want to walk!

Our Story

Hello and welcome to Cornpop Critter Rescue. We are a completely non profit rescue that is run by myself and my Grandmother on a large bit of land. Animals have always been our passion and their welfare is one of our biggest concerns. We absolutely adore them no matter what they are and try to help as many as we can...big or small! We help a variety of animals including all forms of wild animals and most species of domesticated animals, we are very knowledgeable with most species. I personally have rescued and rehabilitated both domesticated and wild animals for the past ten years with much success. With wild animals we aim to release but if this is not possible, we will keep them here permanently at the rescue providing it is ethical and fair to the animal in question. We are currently not open to the public due to Covid 19 unless otherwise stated. Should you need advice about an animal whether that be to do with housing or care, please feel free to pop us a message and we will try our very best to advise. Should we not know the answer, we can direct you to someone who does! Should you need us to help with an animal, please pop us a message with all information on said animal(s). If it is urgent, please contact us directly on the number provided on the page. We are completely non judgmental no matter the situation and everything remains confidential. Please note that all animals up for rehoming have a homing fee to cover all aspects of care including veterinary fees. We will also need to see where the animal will be living and what accomodation he/she will be living in. All animals are quarantined for a minimum of 2 weeks prior to rehoming as a standard procedure to prevent the spread of illness and disease. Thankyou for reading and king regards, Lauren.
