If you dumped these boys last night in a lane near Frome, please treat the rest of your birds!
These boys are absolutely covered in parasites with awful scaly leg mites, lice and are very thin.
Internally i expect they'll be riddled in parasites too if the outside is this bad!

We've h0med sooo many animals it's been absolutely fantastic!
This little girly doesn't know it yet... but she's also found her new people and the Rosella went out to hers today!! 🥳🥳

I'm working real hard to place everyone out so they've got their people, do excuse me on replies and post delays.
Seasonal depression is also giving me a bit of a time... so I'm keeping busier than normal!

We've lost another beautiful little life tonight, my beautiful little frill pigeon.
My absolute favourite in the entire aviary that brought me so much joy, i loved her a lot.
Another young bird stripped of it's life for 10 minutes of 'pretty lights' and bangs.

Every bloody night.
How many more of my animals have to pass away for this s**t?!!!
It's fun for you, it's awful for us.
Rescue animals and our wildlife we've rehabilitated don't understand what is happening.
It doesn't sound loud here, but this is not at the bottom of the land where the birds are where it'll be a lot louder.

I wonder who will be gone by tomorrow?

I am yet to introduce you all properly, but this is Larry!
He came to join us last month and is our LAST Turkish street dog.
With the introduction of culling in Turkey, he is very lucky to be alive and is another we had found in the same way we did with Wilbur.
He hasn't had an introduction post as he came to us the day we unfortunately lost Wilbur, too... 😓
Larry is a sweet boy, a real weird mix that's for sure and one that definitely likes to test me!

Isn't he cute?
If you see him out and about for a walk, do be sure to say hello!!
He's a very friendly little guy and he's learning to play still!

Please note that we are unfortunately currently full on dogs and i also need a break for a while (as much as i love them, I'm burning out), so we will only honour emergencies as we have a waiting list to get through of dogs needing to come in at the moment.
We are also rather short on funding.

Our Story

Hello and welcome to Cornpop Critter Rescue. We are a completely non profit rescue that is run by myself and my Grandmother on a large bit of land. Animals have always been our passion and their welfare is one of our biggest concerns. We absolutely adore them no matter what they are and try to help as many as we can...big or small! We help a variety of animals including all forms of wild animals and most species of domesticated animals, we are very knowledgeable with most species. I personally have rescued and rehabilitated both domesticated and wild animals for the past ten years with much success. With wild animals we aim to release but if this is not possible, we will keep them here permanently at the rescue providing it is ethical and fair to the animal in question. We are currently not open to the public due to Covid 19 unless otherwise stated. Should you need advice about an animal whether that be to do with housing or care, please feel free to pop us a message and we will try our very best to advise. Should we not know the answer, we can direct you to someone who does! Should you need us to help with an animal, please pop us a message with all information on said animal(s). If it is urgent, please contact us directly on the number provided on the page. We are completely non judgmental no matter the situation and everything remains confidential. Please note that all animals up for rehoming have a homing fee to cover all aspects of care including veterinary fees. We will also need to see where the animal will be living and what accomodation he/she will be living in. All animals are quarantined for a minimum of 2 weeks prior to rehoming as a standard procedure to prevent the spread of illness and disease. Thankyou for reading and king regards, Lauren.
