❤️❤️...BELLA...❤️❤️
(Now called Margot by her new humans)

Today marks a year since i climbed under a trailer to grab a very scared little dog.
The call we received was that a dog was seen on a door cam with a potential puppy stuck in the canal... oh boy, how further from the truth this was.
We were unprepared for what the actual truth to this was.

This is Bella's story.
Bella is just one example of why dogs should not be sold cheaply or given away on Facebook to people that you do not know.
This dog is very lucky to be alive and we are so glad we were able to save her life.
There are videos in this that we haven't shown and i hope you enjoy them, once you get passed the first one of her injury. ❤️

Absolutely knackered and can barely keep her eyes open!

We promised you the beach, and that's exactly where we went ❤️
Even if they are at a rescue, they are our family and will be treated as such in that time.

Today Dumpling, who we call 'Chi Chi', went to the beach.
She met lots of new friends including a lovely man in a shop where we got her new coat from as she was getting a little chilly at the time.
It was a bit breezy to say the least!
She had her first cupcakes and got a few gifts, we completely forgot to look for anything for ourselves!
We stopped off for some chips quickly before heading back home of which she definitely stole a few and gave the seagulls a run for their money...chigull?

I'm hoping we can build lots more memories like this but I'm very scared for this little dog that this will be our goodbye.
I love this little girl.
I remain negative so that if it does happen, it won't hit me as hard as if i was positive that she'd make it... if that makes sense.
I just hope I am wrong. ❤️

Thursday is the big day for her first op... 🥲

Admin will be done later today! 🥰
I've had a week of vertigo and nose bleeds so I'm only just able to tolerate the phone screen again for hours!
If you've enquired about the two remaining puppies, please message again so we can answer straight away 🥰

She usually sits on my lap in the car... so she's attempting to guilt trip me into letting her sit back on me! 😆

A late night stroll just before the dog groomers!
Do excuse me trying to run in this, I was overly wary of slipping 🤣🤣
They had fun though and boy can't the little one run!

Late last night we were transporting these cuties to their foster human.
I couldn't get over how cute they are together, they both curled up on the seat.
The Labrador would rest her head on the smaller dog and use her as a pillow! 😆
When the smaller dog went for her groom just before the other picture, the sweet little lab looked so lost without her! Bless her.

A HUMONGOUS thankyou to the very special Emily Howell at 'one waggy tail dog grooming'!!
This incredible lady offered us a grooming session for the dog that came in yesterday just before our post asking for help with her coat.
This was late at night too and very short notice!!
She's done an absolute cracking job!!
No more stinky doggo!

This is just a warning to others.
Hannah has spent her week upping the months of harassment and now is signing us up to various things to essentially try and take money through grants for herself impersonating myself and the rescue as she's not getting anywhere with the rest.
I'm not worried about this as she won't get very far, but i am worried about her using my number to try and gain animals through freeads.
It is getting dangerous at this point with how she is towards animals.
Unless it is my number contacting you directly or i am the one that meets you in person, please do NOT hand over any animals or donations to other people.
Only myself or Damian will be collecting as normal unless otherwise stated by the page or my number directly.
You'll know it's me, i'm covered in unique tattoos!

It is putting lives at risk.
My own personal account has a blue tick on to verify it is me, so you will not receive any messages from myself on another Facebook account either.

Thankyou ❤️

Do you know why?
See that ball, that is one of Bellas first balls she had with us.
It is coming up to a year this month when I crawled under a trailer to get that her out to save her life.
And now, another dog who's been saved is having fun playing with it for the first time. ❤️

She wants my sandwich.Do you know how I can tell? The foot long drool hanging from her mouth!! 🤢🤣

Do any local groomers have space for a dog to be groomed today?
I appreciate it's short notice and a long shot but this dog we've just had in is matted and STINKS! 🤢

It didn't take long for her to come out of her shell 🥰❤️
She's still quite scared but she's getting there.

These two BEAUTIFUL babies were about to be put to sleep pretty soon because their owner gave up on them and left them alone in kennels. (These were already here before our previous post)
It isn't the kennels fault, they have no space so unless they found a rescue placement - they were going to be put to sleep.
This is where we stepped in.
Thankyou so much for trusting us with these girls and thankyou for helping them, all who were involved to get them safe.

Another two beautiful lives saved and my god, they're such wonderful dogs ❤️
The lab took a little longer to come round, she was hiding under the kitchen table shaking at first but I've managed to bring her round with a game of ball which seems to bring back old memories for her!
She's is going to need extensive dental work as her teeth are in very bad shape.
She'll also need other veterinary work doing we're just unsure as to what yet.
The other little dog has already had a dental done apparently by the pound they were in which will massively help us in the long run as we're running out of funds!

If you'd like to help towards the veterinary bills for these girls, it would be massively appreciated and would take a massive strain off of us at the moment - no matter how much.
We will be doing some fundraising days at some point also.
You can also pay directly to our vets.
We can and will provide receipts to show it's been paid with any funds.

Our Story

Hello and welcome to Cornpop Critter Rescue. We are a completely non profit rescue that is run by myself and my Grandmother on a large bit of land. Animals have always been our passion and their welfare is one of our biggest concerns. We absolutely adore them no matter what they are and try to help as many as we can...big or small! We help a variety of animals including all forms of wild animals and most species of domesticated animals, we are very knowledgeable with most species. I personally have rescued and rehabilitated both domesticated and wild animals for the past ten years with much success. With wild animals we aim to release but if this is not possible, we will keep them here permanently at the rescue providing it is ethical and fair to the animal in question. We are currently not open to the public due to Covid 19 unless otherwise stated. Should you need advice about an animal whether that be to do with housing or care, please feel free to pop us a message and we will try our very best to advise. Should we not know the answer, we can direct you to someone who does! Should you need us to help with an animal, please pop us a message with all information on said animal(s). If it is urgent, please contact us directly on the number provided on the page. We are completely non judgmental no matter the situation and everything remains confidential. Please note that all animals up for rehoming have a homing fee to cover all aspects of care including veterinary fees. We will also need to see where the animal will be living and what accomodation he/she will be living in. All animals are quarantined for a minimum of 2 weeks prior to rehoming as a standard procedure to prevent the spread of illness and disease. Thankyou for reading and king regards, Lauren.
