The most adorable, naughty little baby.
He is looking for a new human.
He came in as a 'feral' who wanted to eat people, so he'll need time to adjust and get used to you.
He is incredibly loving once he knows you (i'll include a video in the comments).
He's done so well.
He is approximately 10 weeks old.
We have his brother too but he is a lot more scared and not as trusting yet.
No children please.
Can be very dominant towards other cats and essentially thinks he's a tiny little lion...
He will take time to adjust to be with other cats and they'd need to be able to hold their own with this little beast.

This is another pound dog who cannot be released to the public so needs a rescue placement.

He needs a rescue space as early as next week.
He is only around a year old, very playful and loving.
He is running out of time.
Good with dogs and social with people.

If a rescue space cannot be found, i will then try finding a foster placement.

This dog needs a rescue space immediately as early as next week.
He is running out of time.
He is only a year old.
Great with people and other dogs.
A very loving, energetic boy who loves to play!
He doesn't deserve to lose his life!

If rescue space cannot be found, then I'll jump to try sort a foster instead.

FOSTER NEEDED URGENT.

This is another dog about to be put to sleep in 6 days.
We need a foster for him.
Foster MUST have no children as this dog is unassessed.
They MUST have an enclosed secure garden.
He is social with dogs and people, he's a very loving chap.
He is injured so foster must have transport to get to our vets.
Ideally foster will be within an hours drive just incase of emergency.
Not cat tested.

I am looking for new humans for potentially the worst condition torts I've ever seen.
They will need to go separately.
These have severe MBD and will require someone knowledgeable and very special to give them a permanent final ending, i do not want their final days to be in rescue.
One of them in particular may not last too long, but they deserve to be loved in their final days.
With MBD there is no cure only preventatives to stop this getting any worse with appropriate care.

If you think you can give one of these babies a final happy place to live, please pop us a message.
These would be great educational animals to show what happens with reptiles especially when inappropriate care is given.

Another dog that doesn't have long, he has 4 days left until he's put to sleep.
NOT PUT TO SLEEP BY US, WE DO NOT PUT DOWN.
WE ARE TRYING TO SAVE THEM FROM COUNCIL POUNDS.
These dogs end up handed in to the council kennels as strays.
They serve 7 days and if no rescue comes forward, they put them down.
We are trying to help stop this.

Social with people and shown no aggression towards people.
He's only a baby at 1-2 years old.
Very energetic with his age.
FOSTER OR RESCUE SPACE NEEDED PLEASE.
DOG IS UNASSESSED SO NO HO MING AT THIS STAGE.

What a day.
WHAT A DAY!
I am absolutely buzzing after my first pound pull dogs!

Two BEAUTIFUL babies saved that would no longer be breathing today.
I couldn't be happier with the outcome.
One unfortunately lost his life, but two saved is a fantastic outcome.
Both are now with their foster parents who i have a feeling may fall inlove...
A perfect ending to two beautiful animals that found themselves in an unfortunate position.
We will provide full RBU so they will now be safe for life under us.
If anything ever changes, they will never ever be in that situation ever again ❤️

That black 'mastiff'... all of us fell for.
We've called him Scooby.
If i had my own land he most definitely would have been our baby!
How anyone can give up such a fantastic dog to meet such a demise i will never understand.
To think this happens daily in the UK and most people have no idea about it.
So many are put to sleep when they cannot find rescue space in pounds.
These were just a few of the lucky ones.
When people say adopting saves lives... they mean it literally.
Adopting a dog from a rescue means that babies like this can find rescue space and don't have to be put down.

Sadly not all the dogs were so lucky, the other mastiff we tried to help place lost his life today.
It is no ones fault, everyone tried so hard but he was deemed too poorly to leave the pound - it was too late.
Please give your dogs extra cuddles today. 😥❤️

I keep posting this, but it keeps getting ignored and then people get rude when i don't reply.
Please listen to it to avoid disappointment.
I'm terrible with messages anyway as I'm so busy but this is a sure way to not get answered as i cannot keep track.

WhatsApp is NOT for applying for an animal.
It is for wildlife call outs and general enquiries ONLY please.
Adoption enquiries MUST be kept to the page ONLY.
I have put this in the majority of our posts.
When I'm text, called and whatsapped about animals for adoption it can get very confusing very fast aswell as overwhelming.
I also cannot see who i am speaking to through any of that so messages to the page is preferred.
The rescue number is also for wildlife and general enquiries ONLY.

If a dog is up for foster ONLY or rescue space ONLY, it is because that dog is unassessed.
Placing a dog out to a home unassessed especially from a pound would be entirely irresponsible and downright dangerous, setting it up for failure.
Please respect that this requirement is there to ensure the safety of yourself, your family and the animal in question.
I cannot get the correct placement if i blindly home out with no idea with what's the right fit to the dog.

Urgent rescue space needed for two elderly cats please ASAP.
Both females around 15 years old and bonded.
I cannot ethically take them and putting their welfare first, i am not a suitable fit as it isn't quiet here.

I've got two dogs coming in that were both due to be put down in two days.
I don't usually pound pull but i couldn't let them d1e, so I've said we'll take them under us as they haven't got much time left and one has had no offers at all as I've kept asking.
Last resort, he's coming here so he's not put down.
They're such beautiful babies and so young too.
They come here Wednesday.

This is obviously going to come at a cost with transport fees as they're up north aswell as vets, neutering and vaccinations etc.
Any help towards these costs would be very much appreciated and would help ease the pressure considerably as our outgoing costs are currently ridiculous.
Stevie is currently unwell so she is in and out of the vets too aswell as the ridiculous amount of cats we've got here - it all adds up!
Thankyou to everyone for helping us save these beautiful animals.

***SORTED*** ❤️❤️❤️ . . . This dog is in a pound at the moment and will d!e on the morning of the 21st. I can save him, but i need someone to step forward as a foster before i can act. If i can't find a foster, he has no chance as no one has offered to help him. I can't let him lose his life. He's a little nervous as seen in the video but he's such a happy, healthy loving boy. No children please, it is not worth the risk. Good around dogs. Not cat tested so cats also cannot be risked. If you think you can help him and us, please let us know. You would be saving his life. He's only a year old. Foster will be needed for WEDNESDAY. I will also need a back up foster just incase first foster falls through for what ever reason. I cannot fail him. ALL RESIDENT DOGS IF ANY MUST BE NEUTERED/SPAY. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Update on the teeny kitten dumped in a box in Bath! We're learning how to play! ❤️

One of the conures looking for a new human! 🥰❤️ Please note that as a rescue that specialises in birds, we believe they should not be alone. He/she will either come with another conure that's here or you'll already have a conure for them to bond with. Will NOT live alone. Must have access to the home to fly about and not caged continuously. This one is hand tame and only young. Just starting to go through the nibbly stage which all will go through. You'll need to be able to hack that out until it passes.

That's another one gone! 👋 Finally strong and well enough to go back to the wild. Went straight to a very tall tree for cover much to the magpies dismay!

Well, Wilbur is absolutely loving life with his new mumma! He's gone to the beach and everywhere else with her too! 🥰 I'm so glad we gave this boy a second chance. With what's going on there currently, I'm almost certain he would have been one of the first to have got hurt.

These two adorable boys came in less than a week ago. They are biological brothers that were brought in separate boxes because they didn't get on. This was also the reason they came in because they didn't get along. Less than a week and they've bonded back together! Sleeping next to each puget, grooming each other and eating together! 🥰❤️

Alan is very confused! His LAYING wife woke up this morning and decided she was a male turkey! 🤣 Absolutely adorable. She's full on displaying and she's half his size!

Our Story

Hello and welcome to Cornpop Critter Rescue. We are a completely non profit rescue that is run by myself and my Grandmother on a large bit of land. Animals have always been our passion and their welfare is one of our biggest concerns. We absolutely adore them no matter what they are and try to help as many as we can...big or small! We help a variety of animals including all forms of wild animals and most species of domesticated animals, we are very knowledgeable with most species. I personally have rescued and rehabilitated both domesticated and wild animals for the past ten years with much success. With wild animals we aim to release but if this is not possible, we will keep them here permanently at the rescue providing it is ethical and fair to the animal in question. We are currently not open to the public due to Covid 19 unless otherwise stated. Should you need advice about an animal whether that be to do with housing or care, please feel free to pop us a message and we will try our very best to advise. Should we not know the answer, we can direct you to someone who does! Should you need us to help with an animal, please pop us a message with all information on said animal(s). If it is urgent, please contact us directly on the number provided on the page. We are completely non judgmental no matter the situation and everything remains confidential. Please note that all animals up for rehoming have a homing fee to cover all aspects of care including veterinary fees. We will also need to see where the animal will be living and what accomodation he/she will be living in. All animals are quarantined for a minimum of 2 weeks prior to rehoming as a standard procedure to prevent the spread of illness and disease. Thankyou for reading and king regards, Lauren.
