It has been a fantastic few days for the offspring of our late stallion, Tolan R. Here are a few of the highlights:
Liz Halliday-Sharp - HS Eventing won the CCI4*-L in Tryon on Cooley Nutcracker (Tolan R x Cobra), bred by Gary & Paul Doherty - BallyshanHorses Ireland.
At the same event, 8 year old HSH Tolan King (Tolan R x Porter Rhodes xx) won the CCI2*-L under USA's Caroline Pamukcu, on what was his FEI debut. Breeder: William O'Brien.
On the showjumping front, Alexander Butler has been named on Ireland's Nations Cup squad for the CSIO3* Nations Cup in Peelbergen, riding Ti Amo B Z (Tolan R x Chellano). Breeders: L.C.J. Berben & J.L.J. Berben.

Our two Dourkhan Hero Z c**t foals out of Cora Jada Edil Z (Corico Z x Zahr Adelheid).
The resulting foals from a twin embryo flush in Spring 2022. Great to be able to have them born and growing up in Quarryfield, while Cora can still be furthering her jumping career with Claudia Verburgt in Holland.

This morning we said goodbye to Noriada, as she approached 28 years of age. Barely 15'2HH and made of steel, Noriada gave birth to less than 10 foals during her lifetime, which made the success of her offspring all the more impressive.
Mother to Grand Prix horses Ariana (Conor Swail), Zandokan H (Chloe Wi******er) & Any Questions (Clem McMahon), as well as eventer Chocolate Domino who won Team Bronze at the Junior Europeans with Alex Kennedy. Noriada is now also the granddam of horses such as Somerset, Houdini van de Dijk, Gibsy, Hilke, Next Question, and so on.
There won't be another one like her. Thanks for all, Noriada. ๐งก

The FEI/WBFSH Eventing World Breeding Championship for Young Horses takes place in Le Lion dโAngers, France, this week, from the 21st to 24th October. A total of thirty Irish-bred horses will contest the championship across the Six Year Old (CCI2*-L) and Seven Year Old (CCI3*-L) divisions.
