Wow what a year, we blinked and 2023 disappeared just like that in a blur of rain, wind snow and sometimes all on the same walk 😂.

As always we have had fun mixed with tight security but one thing I can say is NEVER dull day no matter what going on.

That said it will be a sad Christmas with our beautiful Betsy missing from the big day of unwrapping so I will be raising a glass for my special girl and other amazing special dogs that are no longer with us but always in our hearts ❤️

I wish all our pack good heath and owners as well going forward into 2024

Storm Eunice will bring extremely strong winds across the south coast on Friday..

Walk-a-dog will not be working or putting our clients dogs or ourselves in danger.

If you watch the advance weather video below, you will see the eye of the storm going straight through surrey.

*** Mystery dog virus ***

Some of you might have seen in the news or on line that there is a dog virus spreading between dogs . Walk-a-dog takes things like this very seriously but you know your dog better than anyone , if you see any of the below symptoms please call your vet immediately !

(1) Repeated vomiting of five or more times during a 12-hour period, although this can stop for a time, such as overnight, before restarting.
(2) Unable to keep water down
(3) Diarrhoea
(4) Loss of appetite
(5) Unwillingness to exercise
(6) Shaking
(7) Has a temperature

Experts have not been able to find any pattern to connect these dogs that have came to vets .They are of all ages, all breeds and all geographical areas.

The infections do seem to happen quite randomly and along the lines of parvovirus but seems to be a little more than that as its hitting the dogs hard .

A dog could shed parvovirus on the path that you're walking on, and it can remain there for six months, so it is difficult to make sure that your dog doesn't come into contact with it. but heres where walk-a-dog thinks ahead .

(1) We dont walk in any high volume dog areas so limiting the cases of kennel cough, parvo, ect
(2) We dont share water bowls and we suggest you dont let your dogs drink out of bowls or from water sources you have no control of
(3) ONLY walk-a-dog staff touch clients dogs with no exceptions

To help protect all of the walk-a-dog dogs please could you inform us immediately if your dog has any vomiting, diarrhea or any other symptoms.

Popped into see John at for anniversary snack, first time there and I like what I see, clean workstations, fresh covered food. John was very accommodating with any questions we had and in no time at all our order of JKFC ( which I highly recommend 😋) was made and wrapped up ready to be taken away.

On tasting we had flavours dancing in our mouth from the fresh and delicious taste ❤️😋

Hope everyone is well, can I introduce "Marley" the goldendoodle to walk-a-dog.♥️

Brilliant first walk and owner said a little nervous but Marley took the leaving of mum very well and out in transit to our safe location walk like he had done it a thousand times before. Brilliant boy 🐾♥️👍

Doing our job I'm often asked do you own dogs come on walks with you? YES of course we do 😊 our dogs are our family members and deserve the very best at every level from exercise daily and a loving home and safe roof over their heads. ❤️ And the best food..

On that note I have to reach out to , we have changed over a few weeks ago and my girl betsy who's a 10 year old miniature English bull terrier x Jack Russell loves it. We have noticed a big change in longer lasting energy when out and about with the work pack or out on family walks and when the day is done she rests a lot harder and deeper (snoring 🤣)

Could she be the next star? 🌟

She's always had a great coat but it somewhat softer and got a shine to it that I have not seen before 👍

Her morning meat side feed is homemade a few days before and boxed and fridged up ready for feed times with no fuss of fresh chicken, sweet potato, fish and veg that's changed over week to week to keep her intrested and feeding time fresh. This added with two drops of doggy and a joint tablet from she's never been fitter and stronger!! 😍

Massive thanks to everyone that keep my girl moving 😊👍
