Please stop watching this absolute muppet. He pulled an arthritic Labrador off a sofa onto the floor calling her a diva because she didn’t like the wooden floors because she slipped on them and it hurt her.

He put a terrified pug in a situation with loads of scooters and bicycles when he was terrified of wheels and just stood there until he “calmed down”

He held a big roll of newspaper in a terrified Jack Russell’s face provoking her to attack it so frantically she ran under the table shaking and he said “look how calm she is now! Fantastic!”

And that’s only three examples ###

Advice for Teething Puppies!

1. Think about how much sleep your puppy has had- puppies need 16-20 hours of sleep in every 24. It should be around 90 minutes of time being awake, and 2 hours of being asleep. If they’re being especially mouth-y, they probably need a nap! If they’ve just woken up, or it’s first thing in the morning, they’re full of beans and need to get some energy out!
2. If they’re using too much pressure when they’re mouthing, you can gently say ‘Oh dear,’ and move them gently away from you/off the sofa/ out of your arms.
3. If they’re intensely coming back at you like a land shark, scatter feeding is a phenomenal option. Get some of their kibble and throw is around the floor. They will chase after it and this does three things: one, they’re getting exercise to tire them out, two, they’re sniffing which releases the calming hormone dopamine, and three (and most importantly) they’re far away from hands and feet!
4. Don’t use your hands and feet to ‘wrestle’ with your puppy, use appropriate toys instead. Remain calm and do not react, they may interpret any noise you make as a reward! Remember, what gets rewarded gets repeated. If it’s getting insane, feel free to leave the room for a moment to calm down.
5. Keep toys and chews special- save them for when you need them!
6. Don’t shout ‘no!’ or ‘ouch!’ Your puppy is well aware you’re not a dog, and the raised voice will only frighten them.
Remember, reward the behaviours you want, if they’re coming for you with their mouth open; ask for a sit, watch me or touch. Puppies are a lot more likely to repeat behaviours if you encourage them with praise or food.

Hi all! I’m looking for a new home for this incredibly sweet puppy. She’s around one and was rescued from Turkey. We think she is an English setter cross border collie but obviously we don’t know for sure! She is loving, adores cuddles and is such a good girl, but unfortunately doesn’t get on with her older brother who’s a male cockapoo. Ideally needs to be a one dog home or someone with lots of experience in multi-dog households. Please comment or dm me if you are interested. She is in the Stockport area and a current client.

Three spaces left in puppy classes! My name is Olivia and I’m Biker Girl Dog Trainer 😊
I have puppy classes in bramhall on Saturdays, but why should you choose us?
1. We allow entire families to attend- including children!
2. We have THREE trainers in each class with a maximum of five puppies.
3. We are all positive and force free in our approach
4. We’re flexible if you have to miss a class- you just complete it at a later date 😊
5. We have no age limit as basic training is for every dog!
