Due to some of our lovely dogs moving to pastures new, we have availability to take on new dogs. We take the dogs we walk to our safe and secure field to run and play for an hour. Therefore they need to be neutered, good with other dogs and have good recall. We cover the areas of Marple, Marple Bridge and Compstall. We’re so lucky that so much of our field is woodland so our dogs can enjoy the shade. Then it’s back to the vans with cool mats for every dog and with the air-con on. It’s so important that they don’t overheat in this lovely weather ☀️☀️☀️😎

It’s a sad day today for the doggie world to loose a great man who highlighted the care and welfare needed for stray and homeless dogs, and he was a great ambassador for Battersea dogs and cats home.

One of our first ever dogs is moving to a new area so today was his last visit to the field with us - we’re going to miss his smiley face so much, but we’re sure he’ll be happy in his new home ❤️❤️❤️

Jerome Horwitz, famous for playing CURLY in "THE THREE STOOGES", was known to all as a protector of dogs. Curly's contract with Columbia Pictures included a clause that allowed his dogs to accompany him on the studio lot. Columbia limited it to no more than two dogs at a time, this due to the puppies' unplanned on-camera appearances from time to time. You can still see those surprise dog on set invasions in the first few short films. Typically surrounded by various dogs, Curly was known to come home with a stray dog ​​and foster it until he could find it a permanent home. When the Stooges were out on the road, Curly took it upon himself to find a new home for at least one stray dog ​​in every town they visited. Curly is estimated to have saved and rescued more than 5,000 dogs in his lifetime. This makes him a man ahead of his time, with a very admirable concern for man's best friend. Dogs are family ❤
