aims to dispel all myths surrounding black cats. Superstitions aside, cats are simply adorable, even black ones.

Black cats are not taboo. Sure, these feline creatures in their sleek, black coats may carry an air of mystery, but most cats do. Like all cats, black cats have the ability to find mischief. Just like tabbys, cinnamons, gingers, calicos, whites, and grays, the black cat is cuddly, fun, and sweet. I for one appreciate my black cats every day!

Today is HUG YOUR CAT DAY
When National Hug Your Cat Day rolls around each year on June 4, the purr-fect opportunity presents itself for some snuggle time. Depending on your feline critter’s nature, hugging may not be in the cards. However, like most animals, touch is a vital part of communication - and the same goes for the claw-ful kind.

All kitten aside, if you’re fur-tunate enough to have a feline friend, any attention they give you may be a blessing. Others never leave your side and cuddle often. Of course, most cats have purr-sonality in spades.

Meow, if your feline friend becomes hiss-terical when you try to hug him, you may have to settle for a boop. It’s un-furr-tunate, but it is an option. Those who don’t have any feline companionship may need to litter-ally visit a neighbor or volunteer at a local shelter. Those paw-some critters need some hugs, too.
5 Benefits of Cuddling Your Cat
1. Cuddling with kitties can decrease bouts of depression and loneliness. 
2. Hugging your cat helps you feel more calm and relaxed, which results in lowering the risk of heart disease.
3. The sound of purring has a healing component to it and can actually help heal your bones and muscles.
4. People who sleep with their cats get better sleep.
5. Children under the age of one who are exposed to cats might have fewer allergies as they get older.

Your litter box needs to be sized adequately based on how large or small your kitty is. It is recommended that it be at least oneand-a-half times longer than the length of your cat from nose to tail. a regular plastic litter box sized appropriately is generally best for most felines.
As to whether a litter box should be uncovered or covered, most cats prefer using an uncovered box. If your cat will use a covered litter box, you should remove the door.
Some have concerns about top-entering litter boxes for older cats or those with arthritis. “You need to make going to the bathroom as easy as possible. Your cat should not have to go through hurdles to do its business.”
When it comes to litter, the behaviorist personally prefers seedbased litter, like corn or wheat litter, because it’s natural and more akin to the soil outside. Most cats will use clay litter just fine, but he does believe clay may be hard on cats who have been declawed, because their paws are more sensitive. kittens

A quiet cat can easily be stressed.” the litter box you choose, where it’s placed and the kind of litter you use can have an impact on inappropriate elimination. some cat products, including litter boxes and litter, may be designed to appeal to cat owners more than the cat.

1. Your cat pees on your bed. She leaves tootsie rolls just outside the litter box. Or, you see the urine on your pile of fresh, clean clothes. What’s happening? Is kitty mad at you? The answer is no.
It Might be a medical issue when a cat isn’t using the litter box it’s a sign there are medical issues, anxiety-based problems or your litter box setup just isn’t right.
“The very first thing you should do is visit your veterinarian, Cats often don’t use the litter box because they are in pain. Urinary tract infections, feline lower urinary tract disease, feline interstitial cystitis (when their bladder is painful but not infected) or bladder stones or blockage, are just a few of the ailments that can cause inappropriate urination. “There are many cases where the cat just stops using the litter box simply because it associates the litter box with pain. Then they go to places like your bed or fluffy rug, because it feels better for them to relieve themselves there.” kittens

Nina and Puna over Christmas & new year and My new recommendation clients, I closed my client list early last year. However, these kitties were rescue cats street cats from Peru and their humans brought them here to the UK . they have some social issues. All of the cats I look after have issues or medical needs as I am a Dr of feline medicine, therapy and behaviour. but they are Cats and deserve to be loved regardless and I’m so glad they’re humans love them or I wouldn’t be there. Not that I can do that much with my medical condition/disease, but I will never give up on Cats, because Cats have never given up on me!

Many of you are problably already aware of the rising numbers of reports of pets falling sick from many types of PURINA pet foods. This includes cats, dogs AND horses as well. 565 dogs/cats have become sick or died.
These animals presented with symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, rapid weight loss, muscle weakness, excessive urination, re**al bleeding and red/yellow eyes.
Similar distressing symptoms are now being observed in pets fed various other brands, including:
• Instinct
• Merrick
• Royal Canin
• Stella & Chewy's
• Pure Balance
Such a pattern has been noted in the past, often linked to contamination at the supply chain level, where multiple brands end up purchasing the same tainted ingredients.

If you believe that the BRAND of pet food you're using is or has been causing your pet ill health or death: Stop the food immediately.
Report it!
Contact your veterinarian. Request a copy of your pet's medical records. Report your concerns to the pet food company and ask your vet to do the same. IMPORTANT: Preserve the pet food in question. DO NOT hand over the entire product to the pet food manufacturer. If you decide to send any, only send a small sample and store the remainder in your freezer, in its original packaging. Additionally, DO NOT share your pet's medical records with the pet food company. Make sure to document all interactions with them.

Be aware that the pet food company might offer to cover your veterinary expenses and refund the cost of the food. Accepting this offer usually involves signing a waiver that restricts your right to pursue legal action. Accepting such a settlement can also disqualify you from joining any future class-action lawsuits or filing an individual lawsuit.
