Another busy week at Waggy Tailz, especially considering it was a 4 day week. Lots of lovely dogs walked, fussed and played with. 33 miles walked.

Another busy week of dog walks and cat feeds. A visit to MIU for me after I turned my ankle over; luckily only soft tissue injury so I’ve been able to continue.

Half term week is always slightly quieter for me, but it gives my own dogs chance to go out with clients dogs more often.

Happy New Year, it’s been great to be back for part of this week with some of my lovely clients’ dogs. My dogs have been joining more walks to get our miles in for Maggie (just giving link below) looking forward to seeing more lovely dogs next week.

This January, Newt, Luna and I are doing 100 miles for Maggie. For those who don’t know Maggie, she’s Newt’s sister and was 2 in August, owned and bred by my wonderful friend Victoria.
Sadly she was diagnosed with a bone tumour in her hind leg following a short period of lameness, it’s very unusual for a dog her age to get this and Maggie is such an amazing and special little dog who had just started to get her first wins in working/field trials. A few weeks ago she had her leg amputated but sadly a surgical infection has meant huge complications but, after a week, spent back at Dick White’s referral with further operations and wound care she is finally well enough to come home. She was insured for £7k but the complications have pushed the bill way over this and she really needs to have a course of chemotherapy too. So Victoria is doing a walk 100 miles for Maggie Challenge in January to raise funds to cover the costs of the extra vet fees and to get her the further treatment she needs, all the dogs (Tully, Izzy, Rua, Luna & Newt) and I are joining her in her fundraising efforts. The go fund me page will be live soon, which I will share in case anyone is able to donate at all.
Newt & Luna started on New Years Day with a wet & muddy walk; 4.58 km (2.85 miles). Today Izzy joined Luna & Newt on a shorter walk 2.2km. Tully & Rua will add to the total after my coffee break.

Another busy week full of lovely walks with lots of different dogs. My own dogs love joining your wonderful dogs. With Autumn now here the walks are going to start to get wet and muddy, I have a washer in the van and towels to get the worst of the mud off of your dogs.
Limited availability during the week for a couple of dogs to join our walks. 🐾🐾🐾🐾

Out with my own dogs nice and early again this morning before the temperatures make it too hot for them. Please take time to be aware of not only the temperature but also the real feel temperatures.

With temperatures predicted to be high this week I’m getting dogs out for shady walks as early as possible and having chill time in the garden with those who need lunchtimes. Currently 25 degrees with a real feel of 28 degrees, far too hot for walking.

Another busy, but shorter week at work. Lots of lovely dogs walks and cuddled. Next week is back to my term time only dogs, I’ve really missed them.
