With the 2023 season getting underway and the days starting to get a little lighter it seems spring is fast approaching - hurrah 😊

I have time now to add to my current teaching client base and able to assist more people in getting the best outcome with there own horses. Be it test riding, helping get your position a little more refined or just getting a better partnership with your horse and build your confidence. Based OX5 area but happy to travel. Many years experience producing multiple horses from just backed up to advanced level and beyond.

Horses also taken on a short or long term basis for schooling and helping make that move up a level or solidify some basic school work, happy to discuss any options you might have.

Please feel free to call or message me if you have any questions or enquiries 07714 495288

A lovely Sunday with my son, goddaughter and best friend playing around on Tonka - when I bought him for the costly sum of £150 as a 6 week old foal over 8 years ago I never knew he would become so invaluable, don’t get me wrong he is an absolute nightmare, goes where he wants when he wants how he wants and drives all the horses barmy but wouldn’t be without him 😊

Beautiful Dominica dancing to 10th at the regionals on Wednesday.

Not going to lie I was really disappointed with our test, trot tour was good but it sort of all unravelled in the canter and we don’t have enough experience as a combo for me to know how to pull it back together, just one of those things, live learn and move on. If you know the medium 75 you know the last line is an extended trot, by this point I knew we hadn’t got a golden ticket but I sure as hell wanted to get a good picture to take home!! Mission accomplished ✅
She was of course the winner in my book, just not today ❤️

Big day - huge infant.

ISINT SHE A BEAUTY 😍

We all have dreams, goals and aspirations in our lives and careers. I have longed for a muck trailer and finally I have one. Yes I know it’s not the ’normal’ goal in life but my life is far from normal so it’s quite fitting.

I love her ❤️

WHAT. A. DAY!

So today I experienced quite possibly one of my worst nightmares - a blow out while travelling a horse in the lorry on a VERY busy A34 🤯 I was delivering Dubai to her wonderful new home and after a slow start to the journey due to traffic we where happily chugging along In my very faithful little box when I felt a judder, thinking it was the grooves in the road I tentatively carried on to then hear an almighty bang and what was quite obviously a blow out. Trying to stop as quickly and safely as possible I pulled over but I was on a bend in the shade on an A road so no hard shoulder with artics hurtling past me at an almighty speed and clearly couldn’t see me. Not going to lie - I totally panicked and didn’t know what to do so was waving the lorries away as all I could think about was the awful accident with Party Trick and Nick Gauntlett.

Then someone was clearly watching over me as the next second two lovely men came round the back of my lorry and said did you wave us down?? At which point I burst into tears and explained my predicament and I was in total panic about how to get to safety - the first guy very calmly turned to me and with such reassurance I couldn’t not trust him say - me and my friend are in the army we will get you safely on your way, and they did.

There was a lay-by 1/2 a mile ahead that I very slowly limped to and they held the traffic for my safety and then in a matter of minutes changed my wheel and sent me on my way, like nothing had happened!

I never got there names, where they where going or why they stopped, I am just beyond greatful and not all hero’s wear capes. I often loose faith in the human race but these two totally selfless souls really helped me remember good people walk amounts us ❤️

Darling Danny dancing his way to a very close 11th in the medium gold at a sweltering Sparsholt on Sunday. I was so proud of the test he produced, yes his balance in trot can always be a bit better but you won’t find a horse that tries harder for you ❤️

Duette - the girl with the curl, when she is good she is very very good but when she is bad she is horrid, or so the rhyme goes.

It might only be a prelim, it might only be unaffiliated, she might be 7 and we are only just doing our first show but this was the biggest of all big deals for me. Last year I had to send her away to be schooled as she had shattered my confidence to the lowest point, 3 months ago I was never riding her again so to get down the centre line let alone complete an entire test was a massive achievement. I may have cried before I got on and I sobbed at the end of my test - happy tears of relief this time! She is without a doubt talented but her brain isint always on side and I have fallen off her more times then i can remember and I’m sure I will again, this is a tiny step in her career but a HUGE mental achievement for us together - I am very much enjoying the very well earned gin in hand 🍸

A huge thank you to EVERYONE who has held my hand to get to this point, as mum said - god woman you would think you had just ridden the GP at Aachen, to me this was far scarier!

Wellington Premier League -

This will be a short round up in three words -
Not our venue 🤦🏼‍♀️

I have historically never done well here and why break the habit of a lifetime 😂 I went for the 5 year old class on Jo’s beautiful Maddie and despite her being foot perfect, I mean she really couldn’t have gone better, the judges absolutely didn’t agree.
Oh well I know for a fact we wouldn’t change her for the world and doesn’t she look beautiful 🥰

Here we go, second post in 2 days, I’m spoiling you 😉

This one is slightly sad but only slightly as it does have a - hopefully - very long and happy ending. Sometimes the hardest part of having a horse is realising they just aren’t either perfect for you or going to do what you want BUT they can be perfect for someone else and be all they need them to be, even harder when it’s one you bred yourself. My last foal from Daxs was Ice, small but a perfectly formed pocket rocket. After a very successful 2 year competition career I had too many horses at home (story of my life) and for the sake of my emotional and physical health I had to cut back and after a lot of tears and talks mum and I decided while Ice is amazing he really would benefit from a more 1 on 1 relationship and I just couldn’t give him the attention he deserves. So here started the hard journey of finding him a new partner, thankfully the search didn’t take long and I am quietly confident he has found the ideal home, Mimms and Katie made the decision to let him go very easy and I’m pretty sure Mimms has as good as slept in his stable since his arrival last week. He is close to home so I can keep an eye on them together and I am so excited to follow there journey and see what they can achieve together.
Good luck Mimms and Ice ❤️

Hello 👋🏻
Oh dear seems I didn’t quite stick to my promise of keeping this page up to date over 2 years ago but I’ve had alot of views recently and so I thought I would pop my head up and say hi 😊

For so many reasons it’s been a pretty awful few years, covid actually was the least of my worries thankfully but it seemed my luck was at an all time low. Injuries, bad timing, super quirky horses and ultimately the passing of my wonderful father really left me wondering how to go forward.
Thankfully my amazing supportive friends and family together with the realisation that I really really do just love riding my horses has kept me going and refocused my life and goals. I am much more realistic about what I can achieve and what I would like to do going forward.

So from here on I will unashamedly share my life with my ponies, like it, don’t like it, I really don’t mind I am so proud of - and I HATE using these words - my journey over the last few months I want to show everyone my wonderful 4 legged friends who have helped me more then they will ever know since last August ❤️
Many photos of the current team over the coming days but for now let’s kick things off with a photo of Dominica (really as it’s the nicest one that came up on my camera roll first 🫣) 8 year old Damon Hill x Andiamo and as with most of my horses, bred by mum 🥰
