hello this is Dylans people here so say we are heartbroken at having to let Dylan go yesterday. Our beautiful, funny, opinionated, demanding, quirky, affectionate head over heels rolling Dylan. The oral melanoma was just too bl**dy aggressive, and altho we threw everything at it that we could whilst maintaining a good quality of life, nothing got the chance to work. Tumours started springing up everywhere,so fast. We are so sad that this lovely boy who had survived so much,who had shot pellets embedded in his liver and his lungs,as well as lots of other places, never got a break in his cancer journey. He was only 7. He was a terrifed boy when he first came here after his long journey , it was a joy to watch him grow in confidence and become the laid back, non reactive boy he was. we are so gratful to the whole Apollos angels and Rehoming Cyprus Pointers team for allowing us to foster, fail, and finally adopt him. :-) Grateful also for not being at work much so we could be with him and shower him with love and his much loved sausages and cheese. Such a huge Dylan shaped hole left now in our life.

hello everyone. happy gotcha day to me - today is my third gotcha day. i arrived here scared and stressed and kept trying to runsa way. these humans were my foster carers but they decided to keep me forever. i still get scared sometimes. i am apparently what they call their comedy dog on account of me doing headoverheels and my barking at 5 a,m, and my asking politely for food. welli thinks its polite anyhow. we have been having lots of trips out when its not too hot and i have been sploshing. inbetween i have to go to vet place quite alot. see i have malignant oral melanoma.whatever that is. i had an op (that was nasty) to take away the lump but it has come back in 2 new places and altho i am having melanoma vaccine and all sorts of other special thingys and i feel well, it seems nothing has a chance of working as things keep coming back too quickly.
so my gotcha day is bittersweet for the humans, altho i dont understand that bit of it. they keep saying they are trying to stay positive, but their eyes leak sometimes.
anyhow heres some pictues of my adventures. they usually involve running and sniffing, and sploshing, and eating. and lots of love.

G'day to everyone. we thought we would post to say that we could do with some K9 Project love. As some of you know our gorgeous boy Dylan has cancer. He is only 7. Thats the youngest dog we have had with the condition. He has had surgery to remove his tumour so he can enjoy his food again!! And will have the most unintrusive follow up treatments we can find as well as lots of natural immune boosting supplements.

We wanted to ask for your help- this is not easy for us but we thought we'd let you know how you can support us at this time.

coming home today from doggy hospital

heres me at the secure field last week and this week sunning myself. its been hard few weeks as i have had to go to the vetinary places again. last week i had a ct scan (guess what those shot gun pellets have actually stuck in my liver and my lung -who knew!!) )
this week i have to have surgery to remove the tumour in my mouth - i am hoping it will be easier for me to gobble my food down quick again once it is gone. the humans seem very worried but the vet chap said i was a strong boy and he was amazed about the shot pellets. he said all my blood work and other things are amazingly good considering the lump i have in my mouth. I will be glad when it is gone !! mind you i have been enjoying my scarambled eggs and bone broth. see ya all laters

i is a little poorly, been to vets to have a little lump removed from my eyelid. it has always been there but was getting bigger and growing inwards. i idnt like it at vets and tried to break the silly collar they put on and chewed out the catheter and barked lots so i came home early been sleeing mostly since.
hope i gets extra breakfast!!

Just before the end of term I did my first ever school visit. Apparently i was exceptionally good. I was pretty relaxed about it all really especially as there was treats and I like treats.
I was tired afterwards though being a project dog might be a bit tiring.

I have been poorly. its a bit embarrasing but i have an infection in some private place, and an injury where it looks like i have run into something. the vet was hoping it was not a grass seed stuck or anything. its all a bit undignified, and i have to take lots of pills and things (but i get extra food so its ok)
on a brighter note.... i have a new trick.when i want my breakfast or my dinner i have discovered it is more effective to go to mum and push my head against her for a cuddle, jump up, then i try and eat her clothes and sometimes i pretend to nip her leg......that makes her take notice.!! well maybe sometimes i do nip her leg its like a little friendly kiss really, they says it is lovely I am coming out of myself now and playing and running lots, but that is a bit "too much ".
oh well .....

i has been poorly and in lots of pain. yesterday the vet lady says i have a luxating patella (the kneecap pops out) . it pop-ped back in when she was examining me- i did it all by myself. and then i was much better all day. however it has come out again now so we may have to go for x rays and stuff. the humans are very worried as i keep crying and shaking. im a very sad boy today again.

the humans say i have turned something of a corner in confidence!! i can now play. i like to chew things and i yip a lot and demand attention. the humans seem to think this is a good thing really as it means i am coming out of my shell (I didnt realise i had a shell but still......)
I am still very handsome .of course.

well Dylan arrived a year ago yesterday. a shivering trembling wreck. Kev and Kieran Jennings did the airprort run, so i stayed up all night and tried to reassure him and stop him pacing and shaking. he was a very stressed boy for quite some while and a proper escape artist, having the ability to barrel his way through anything in his way. by the time he was settling we had decided we were failed fosterers and he had to stay..he is our comedy dog, and makes us laugh every day. once we have got over the early morning alarm calls that is. he is such a calm boy in so many ways and beautiful with the other dogs. stil la work in progress, but progress he makes and we love him very much.

heres me. getting to love the water and absolutely nailing the labrador water belly flop. i know i am a pointer but they keep saying im chubby.the water was a bit muddy by the time id belly floped a few times so then i had to have a bath thingy when i got home!"!

the humans say I am settling all the time. i love to sleep on peoples laps now. especially after I have woken them up at 5 or 6 in the morning. and i love my new dog friends.

hello fans! sorry ive been abit quiet but the world seesm a little strange., we are no longer going up to Silver Oak Coffee on sundays for our meet and greets but we are going to a lovely field with a pond or two and i have decided i quite like water :-) although i have no idea why the girls keep climbing on things!
