An agility challenge! Compete in 7 exciting heats throughout the season and climb the ranks in one of our three leagues:

🏆 Grade 1-3 League
🏆 Grade 4-6 League
🏆 Overall Handler League – where points from all your dogs are combined!

🔹 Your best 5 results count toward your final ranking (drop your 2 lowest scores!)
🔹 If you attend fewer than 5 events, all your scores will still be counted.
🔹 Each league has its own separate rankings.

Hi everyone, I know that there are a number of you entering Warrior show at Bolsworth Castle at Easter. First of all entries close on Friday 28th February, so if you haven't entered please do so now. From Monday I am going to start building courses that you can expect to see at Warrior. So grade 1/2/3 Grade courses for you to practise before Warrior.

🐾💫Steeplechase Mornings (14 months plus)💫🐾

Steeplechase is a course consisting of only jumps and tunnels (but we may include the wall, long jump and tyre also. No weaves or contacts)

We aim to run 4 courses.

You are welcome to use a toy, or treats (treats must not crumble due to the astro turf surface)

This will be a fun, confident building course running morning, aimed at young dogs. Getting them ring confident ready to compete. Also open to competing dogs who need more confidence or drive in the ring.

Some things to note. We are now entering the start of the Agility Season proper. Some of you are very ready to start competing. So here are some guides to get started.

1. Choose a name - every dog must have 2 names for the Kennel Club Register. It can be whatever you like so long as it is not rude 😃.
2. Register with the Kennel Club : https://www.thekennelclub.org.uk/events-and-activities/activity-register/

3. Register with Agility Plaza : https://www.agilityplaza.com/open/register

4. You will need your dog measured before entering a KC show, I will find out when the next measuring is.

5.. Enter your first show 😃. The first a most obvious one is Warrior Show at Easter at Bolsworth Castle. This is very local for most of us. It closes stupidly early this year on the 28th February, 2025. No entries will be accepted after this date.

So get registering guys and see you at Bolsworth.

For those that feel they are not quite there, there are some great Steeplechase events at Dog Sports Derby. They have completely enclosed arenas, so if you have a dog you are worried will run off, this is the place to take them. Please look at their events page ; https://dogsportsderby.com/events/

Aimed at Grades 1-4, however any grade can take part. Open to dogs from 16 months old.

This will be a fun, confident building course running morning. Great for getting dogs ring confident and ready to compete, plus rewarding obstacle skills/ behaviour in a competition environment.

What's included:-
▪ 4 runs (1 x agility course, 1 x jumping course, where you can run both twice)
▪ Inside on astro, or outside on grass, weather dependant
▪ You are welcome to use a toy, or treats (treats must not crumble due to the astro turf surface, if we are inside)

We had a.lot of fun training during the week. We have had a lovely dry spell and the ground is holding yo really well
