If you are worried they are too hot cool them down by wetting their coat with cold water

With temperatures today set to be high this week we thought we'd share some tips on how to keep your dogs cool this summer.

- Make sure to walk your pets early in the morning or later in the evening when it's cooler.

- Make sure your pet always has access to plenty of water, including on walks.

- Make sure your pet always has access to shade.

- Know the signs of heatroke. These include increased heart rate, excessive panting, increased salivation, red or pale gums, collapsing and vomiting and diarrhoea. If your pet exhibits any of these signs first move them to a shaded area, offer them small amounts of water and call your vet as soon as possible.

And please remember to never leave a dog in a car on a hot day!

New Ultrasound Arrives! We are excited to announce the arrival of our new veterinary ultrasound machine. We will use this for scanning the organs of the abdomen (eg kidneys, bladder, intestines, spleen, liver), doing heart scans (echocardiography) or our personal favourite - pregnancy scans!
