Our big breeds get a lot of love on our page… which of course we love ❤️🥰❤️ BUT! We need you to show some love to our little breeds as they need homes too….

SO! Could we all give MARK the limelight this evening 💡🌟❤️

Mark is a 4/5 yr old super sweet dinky Yorkshire Terrier cross who arrived with us from stray kennels ❤️ He is happily living with a male and female dog in his foster home, but is an anxious little man when he’s out and will bark/snap at unknown dogs 🐶

Mark needs a loving, patient home - he can live with another well matched dog, but is not social when he’s out, so he needs his new owner to understand that 🐶❤️ He’s not able to live with cats 🐱

Surely there’s someone out there that can give this little man a chance?? 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻

Well what a terrible day it was yesterday. I did my first walk at Golden Acre and bumped into Sarah of Bark-N-Ride and then went to The Chevin, Surprise View... everywhere is like a mud bath. Thank goodness for my trusty porta showers filled with warm water 🥰🐾🐾🥰 but at least clean doggies when they are returned home ###

Last night at 7:30pm I locked up our warehouse on Mabgate and felt a strange mix of emotions after a crazy week of Zarach ups and downs. Getting in the car, I contemplated all that Team Zarach has achieved this week whilst simultaneously mulling over some emergency situations from mums who had just sent me SOS WhatsApp messages: one saying say she had no electricity and another mum saying her rental property for next week had fallen through and she couldn’t afford another night in a hotel with her children so was going to buy a tent 😭

We continue to see and hear harrowing stories from our families of their personal circumstances during this cost of living crisis that are difficult to process and I’ve had a week of feeling frustrated with how appropriate housing, support with lowering bills and other basic needs are such a struggle for so many. As well as helping families in crisis in practical ways, we will continue lobbying on the behalf of and in partnership with our families to make the future brighter for everyone.
Helping the voices of children and families living in poverty to be heard by those in places of power and influence is an intrinsic part of who we are and what we do. It has been since our first ever bed delivery. My bed lifting credentials are currently limited due to being pregnant but I’m seeing it as an opportunity to do more of the shouting! I still remain hopeful that with you, our INCREDIBLE followers who share what we do far and wide, we will continue to experience opportunities beyond our reach to communicate with organisations and people that CAN galvanise meaningful change in our country.

Today I’m taking time to celebrate both the support we’ve received and also been able to offer in the last 7 days.

💪🏽Christmas 2022 winter warmers appeal launched aiming to support more families than ever before in even more practical ways

💪🏽New giving platform launched to make supporting us financially even easier (PLEASE, PLEASE swap over to it if you’re already a monthly giver 🙏🏼 we can’t afford to lose any support at this current time dm if you need any support to do so)

💪🏽71 families attending our FOOD Club paying £3.50 for £30 worth of quality food

💪🏽A van load of winter coats donated from Zero Waste Leeds

💪🏽An actual date booked in next week for the warehouse roof fixing 🌊💦☔️ FOC after a very wet three months
