I had an interesting conversation recently about fussy dogs so I thought posting this example of mine might help others out there.
Otis LOVES cheese! He would exchange me for a single slice of cheese without hesitation.
So you'd be forgiven for thinking that Yak chews, which are a hard cheese made simply from milk and lime juice would be just his favourite thing ever!
However, I found he will happily play with a Yak chew, but not eat it 🤦🏻♀️
Knowing he's a sensitive soul when it comes to some foods I tried Puffing it in the microwave for him. This softens it considerably and increases the smell of cheese.
Again, he refuses.
So being the smotherer I am, I cut it into little bite sized pieces for him, like a baby, and what do you know, he gobbled them all up like the cheese lover he is! 😂
My conclusion? - Dogs are furry little enigmas that can make absolutely no sense at all! 😁🐾

Proof that Otis is just a delicate baby bird.
He loves crumpets with Bovril and always gets given the last bite of mine so I thought I'd treat him to his very own.
But he wouldn't even consider eating it in full form, even a quarter of a crumpet is far too big for his tiny weak mouth 😆
Any bigger than 1cm across defeats him, despite him carrying around entire trees on his walks!?

As it was his birthday competition, I thought it only right that Otis picks the winner!
His most favourite game is when we throw cardboard for him to catch, so every entry was assigned a number and then thrown up for Otis to catch.
