Lest We Forget

Their blood stained the land, as they served with pride. A duty to their master, they stood side by side. From the sky, to the sea, through a vast open land, together they fought—both animal and man.

Fireworks can be a frightening experience for our furry friends. To help keep your pets calm and safe, follow these tips:

🐾 Create a Safe Space: Set up a cosy, quiet area indoors with their favourite toys and blankets.

🔊 Drown Out the Noise: Keep the TV or radio on to help mask the sound of fireworks.

🌙 Walk Before Dusk: Take dogs for a walk before the fireworks start to reduce stress.

💊 Consider Calming Aids: Talk to your vet about calming options if your pet gets particularly anxious.

📞 We’re Here for You: If you have any concerns about your pet’s anxiety, give us a call! We’re here to help ensure a stress-free night for everyone.

Let’s work together to keep our pets safe and comfortable. ❤️ 🐶🐱

As we get ready to welcome the new season, we also welcome some autumnal hazards for our furry friends. But, could you spot a poisonous plant before them? 👀

During this time, when the summer blooms turn to autumn leaves, many plants and trees start to produce berries and nuts, which can be both tempting and toxic for pets.

It’s important to be able to recognise those hidden toxic plants so you and your pet can keep away from them ⚠️

Here’s a handy list from our vets, to help you spot some of the most common ones to look out for!

UPDATE: reunited! ❤️

This mum is missing from the Stratton Heights area of Cirencester.

If you see her please get in touch as her owner is very concerned.
She is microchipped and neutered.

We are hoping that she has just found a dry spot and is waiting it out until the rain stops.

Lets get her home!

It's difficult suffering from anxiety and unfortunately our precious pooches can experience this too 🥺

Being very sociable animals, dogs need plenty of human companionship to feel safe and happy. When they are left alone, some dogs can feel distressed.

The return to work and school after the summer holidays can be a big change for dogs, so it's super important to understand the signs of separation anxiety and what you can do to prevent it ❤️

Read our vets' advice for more info on how to stop the signs, prevention and treatment: http://pdsa.me/mlD0

[Visual description: An infographic outlining treatment for separation anxiety in dogs. This includes: Getting your dog assessed by a certified behaviourist will help you understand why your dog feels the way they do. Making adjustments in your home such as building your dog a den/safe place and giving them a choice of activities to do when they are alone. Creating a routine for your dog so they know when you are leaving and what happens when you are out of the house can help build their confidence and reduce their anxiety. Remember to take your time. Managing separation related problems takes a lot of time, effort and commitment from owners. Most dogs will improve with the right help but this change is likely to take some time. Medication can help alongside behavioural therapy, but can usually be stopped once they’ve learnt to cope on their own.]
