♡♡♡ We are BREEDERS ♡♡♡
Our everyday lives are all about cats. While our friends are on vacation or celebrating family, we spend our time preparing for kitten birth or looking after litter and cats. We haven’t had a proper vacation in years! Because it's really hard to trust our cats with anyone else. No one knows them better than we do. All of our plans cover rolling, birth dates, kittens and vet appointments. Most of our friends are also breeders, because only they can understand this kind of life and support us. Before giving birth, we don’t sleep for two or three days (sometimes even longer) because we support and care for the mother-to-be. As each kitten arrives, we pray that it is healthy and strong. If something is wrong with the kitten, we fight for hours, days or weeks for its life. Sometimes even kittens die in our hands. This is the worst thing to happen to a breeder.
This breaks our hearts into a million pieces and those memories will never fade. We sleep next to the litter box for a month or more with mom and kitten to monitor the litter every minute... we don't sleep much this month actually. Our vets know us by our first names and we have each other's personal phone numbers. Not everyone gets our kittens. Not at all. Kittens are our children and we just want the best homes for them. Every kitten that leaves us takes a piece of our hearts with them. Our cat owners are our family.
Money isn't made sitting on our asses like most people think. Every penny we take is earned with a lot of tears, stress, blood and sacrifices. We don't work 8 or 10 hours then go home to relax on the couch and watch TV. Cats need attention every day. Money is being spent again on cats and our breeding. It's a cycle. Our house is not perfectly clean. Never. And our clothes are covered in cat hair.
But it's our life, and we wouldn't change it for anything. We are breeders !
