On the 17th January 2022, legendary “Golden Girl”, actor and comic icon Betty White would have been 100. Sadly she passed away on new years eve, just a few weeks before the event she was so looking forward to.
Apart from her acting she was also recognised for being a devoted animal lover who worked on saving endangered species and fixing conditions for animals around the world.
To honour her legacy a social media challenge was sent out and has since gone viral. Starting out in the USA it’s already been adopted in Northern Ireland by so let’s get it going in the rest of the UK
The is simple - on 17th January people are encouraged to donate £5 to their local animal rescue in Betty White’s name … it’s that simple!
So, come on, spread the word and let’s pay tribute to the entertainment she gave us and the animal welfare work she did by making a small gesture that will go a really long way.
