A Hectic Day at Filey Cat Rescue Rescue
Yesterday was an extremely busy day here. Sadly in the early hours hours of the morning we saw Samual an elderly cat here had noticed eaten his food and was very quiet. Unfortunately within an hour he had died peacefully in his sleep on my knee.
We were then notified that Kingston a senior fostered cat in Scarborough had got out. I would love to thank all the volunteers who gave up hours of their time to join me in an immediate search for him, although we didn’t see him, I can tell you that this morning the foster carer has informed me that she left her gate and cat flap open to her yard and that he jumped up onto the bed 💕💕that’s amazing news.
We did several more rescues yesterday including a ginger and white longhaired very small cat on Rutland Street. Filey, the cat appears not to want to leave a derelict guest house. I will put a separate post on for this young lady.
Last night we also received a desperate call to help 2 newborn kittens found in a plastic bag in Cleveland area, and we were the only open rescue. The couple made the journey, which was so kind of them 💕they are receiving a lot of attention as they need feeding every 2 hours.
I’m extremely grateful to our volunteers who give up their valuable time, and ask that if you are trying to contact us, that you are patient as life here is extremely challenging, as we are trying to move a building in place here, to improve things and also our WiFi is been looked at as in recent weeks it has been difficult. We are trying our very best, but are still only very tired humans, whi are here to help 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Thank you from the bottom of of my heart for your support
Best wishes
Tina 💕💕
