SPECIAL PERMANENT FOSTER HOME - URGENT - This is a very sad and upsetting story and I hope maybe someone might feel they could help 💕
This is Floyd, he’s been with us for over 8 months now. When he came to us he had been so stressed at his last home that he had actually bitten off completely his own tail, after an urgent operation to put this right as he was in so much pain with raw nerve damage, he began to settle here, but this took time as he was very stressed and needed very delicate assurance.
We loved him here and Tracy had a very special bond with him, but he still became upset when you left him and decided to not eat at all putting himself in a dangerous position, we tried so hard and again finally got him eating again and after several weeks back to a non-life threatening position.
Then Abi one of our wonderful Fosterer’s took him and his life changed as he got lots of attention, however because Abi has other cats he had to be kept in one room and when she left him he cried a lot as he wanted to be in with the family.
After a few weeks a couple took him and for the first time in his life he was happy and less stressed. However after a while when he relaxed he had tendencies which some cats do of hiding under furniture and grabbing you. He has separation anxiety, and does not like to be touched when asleep, all of his actions are not in a nasty way and he is incredibly loving and affectionate,.
He is a beautiful boy who has had a lot of stress so far in his 5 years which has left him very vulnerable. He can try and hurt himself also if he gets stressed and one of the pictures shows a cut he did to himself as he was in one room and not able to come out.
PLEASE / if you have a quiet home and have experience with more challenging cats who need a lot of love and understanding, no other animals or children and have lots of time to give him, then please get intouch
This has been one of the saddest stories we have seen of Floyd as he is such a special boy and we love him so much. He’s back with Abi now but he will be upset. Heartbreaking just typing this.
