This page is dedicated to the best chinchilla care possible in a light-hearted spirit. I’m a licensed and experienced pet therapist and animal communicator with a love of dank memes and flamboyant set design. My chinchillas are my family and we aim to show people chinchillas in a way they’ve never been seen before. We encourage enlightened discussion but remind people that this page needs to be a safe space as many of my human clients enjoy it and may be triggered by aggression.

Lilu, eating her breakfast under her UVB lamp. Lilu has gained weight- she's 727g now (and she's not a big chin) - and the organic linseed I put in her food has made her coat lovely & shiny. She likes to sit on my bed with me, having scritches in the evening and she seems happy with her two daughters, Angel & Mylo. I lift her other daughter, Bee, up to the bars for kisses.

She absolutely hates her son Lilim, Lilim tries it on with her, so she'll chase him and pull his fur out. Consequently they have zero contact now. Lilim still thinks all of the grils are belong to him, even if they don't like him. 😂

Sweetie has limited pellets. The optimal diet for chinchillas is 80-90% hay as chins must be constantly wearing down their teeth. I tried going pellet-free but I found their weight couldn't stabilise- they just got smaller and smaller and it never levelled out. I couldn't increase fats beyond 7% without risking bloat in the boys (girls seem to tolerate more fats) so I reintroduced a few pellets.
We use the Dutch brand, Beaphar, as they don't use glyphosate or any of the bee-killing pesticides.

I find every chin is different, some of mine have just 20 p/d, Sweetie's group has more like 24. And yes- I count them! Sweetie has a tendency to eat everybody else's food, it can be difficult monitoring food in a group so I often feed little Lilim alone, so she can't take his.

Sweetie is probably overweight by vet standards at 817g but she's not really fat- she's a pretty fit girl with a very large frame. Ther term 'big-boned' definitely applies!

Welcome to Little Fluffy Crowds Chinchillas! Services provided from this page range from custom and made-to-measure cage accessories to models-for-hire, animal communication & mediumship, and boarding. I studied animal care under Sheila Morgan, who is renowned for her internationally prized Royal Jordanian horses, I worked for her as a stud groom, part time for seven years. I have studied nutrition independently and have a wide-ranging and deep understanding of the importance of top quality food and water. I favour organic and wild crafted feed whenever possible, with supplements to top up vitamins & minerals lost through the drying process. I also use filtered water to cut out chlorine, fluoride and harmful synthetic hormones. I also worked in the Care Service and NHS for many years part-time so have a broad understanding of healthcare from a professional perspective. I specialise in animal healing, animal communication and mediumship. My clients are mainly involved in showing but I also work with rescues and animals recovering from surgery. Any sceptics would be astounded at the results- animals respond very well to healing and remote hypnosis- they are used to communicating in a non-verbal way and so take to me very naturally. I give healing to any new arrivals to optimise their ability to adapt to change. Animals with a wide range of issues have made remarkable progress under my care and been awarded prizes at the country’s most prestigious events.
