I'll stay in touch too in case you need help and advice for your pet family. Hi, I’m Nic your local OSCAR Pet Foods Qualified Nutritional Advisor based in south-east Herefordshire, covering South Hereford, West Hereford, Hay-on-Wye, Ross-on-Wye, parts of Abergavenny, North Hereford and Hereford centre. I provide a free delivery service of affordable, high-quality dog food (including puppy food and
working dog food), cat food, wild bird food, small animal food, pet accessories and healthcare products. I’ve always wanted to work with animals however I followed a predictable path into an office environment, running an HR department for an Asset Finance company. After 27 years in HR and financial services, I was made redundant, which prompted a move from Surrey for my husband and I, and a search for a completely different career led me to have a pet-related business. Our pet family consists of two rescue cats, Smudge and Missy (typical naughty torties!) and Sidney, our mischievous Boston Terrier. We’ve previously had a Main C**n, Greyhound, Cairn Terrier, and another Boston Terrier. Having pets enriches our days in many ways; we get unconditional love, loyalty, companionship, joy, laughter, and gratitude for providing a simple belly-rub or tickle under the chin! A great way to reward our pets for all this is to feed a good-quality food suitable for each of their life-stages; I can help you do this by identifying the right nutritional diet, e.g. one to deal with weight management, a food intolerance, skin issues, or simply to sustain them throughout their lives. All OSCAR pet foods are formulated by experts, nutritionally balanced, contain no artificial flavours, colourings or preservatives, are packaged in recyclable packaging and containers, with honest labelling naming 100% analysis. Herefordshire is a beautiful county and so friendly! It is such a pleasure driving around, sometimes with Sidney riding ‘shot-gun’ on my deliveries to customers, having a cuddle with their pets! Need advice on your pet’s diet? Want to learn more about OSCAR? Just give me a call – I’d love to chat about the foods, service, advice, and support I offer. OSCAR also has a team of experts in behaviour, nutrition, and veterinary matters. Nic, CertCAN (QCF L3)

Oscar Pet Foods delivers in the local area no matter the weather! ❄️☃️😁
It’s definitely been an interesting first delivery week of the New Year! ❄️🧊 🚚
A huge thank you to my amazing customers for being understanding about having to rearrange Tuesday’s deliveries. My van is pretty useless in the snow! ❄️ And to those that could wait until next week 🙏🏼
A little bit of a different delivery method was needed for those that needed food urgently but my van couldn’t get to! 🛷 At OSCARs we will make sure your pet never runs out of food, whatever the weather! ❄️ 🐶 🐱❤️

Overweight pets can easily become couch potatoes and find it hard to leave the house to exercise. It is important to meet our dog's exercise and stimulation needs as well as feeding them a balanced diet, correct for their life-stage, to keep them fit & healthy.🐾🐶
If your dog starts to receive too many calories alongside too little exercise, the weight can slowly creep up! Read more here⬇
Fleas like a warm environment, ideally somewhere between 18-27 degrees centigrade, but with a combination of winter heating and summer sun, fleas have the ideal temperature to be active all year round.🐶🐱

Deciding to add a new puppy to your family is a big decision that can’t be taken lightly. A puppy is a 15-year commitment, and you are responsible for every aspect of their life.🐶
Puppies are great fun, but they are also hard work. By planning ahead and being prepared you can choose the perfect new best friend .🐾
It's that time of year again when we think about our waistlines and the extra calories we consumed over the festive period. Our diet begins, and the gym is booked for our New Year resolutions, but what about our four-legged pooches? Have they also enjoyed a treat too many? An extra Christmas dinner? Visitors feeding goodies?🐾
Visit our blog 'Post Christmas Bulge: Pets' for guidance helping to manage your pet's weight 🐶⬇️
Dog owners usually associate itchy dogs with the spring and summer, but skin problems can occur all year round, and some are actually more common in winter❄🐶

Winter can be a tough time for wild birds. Although they adapt for the change in the temperature, as the ground hardens, and the days become shorter, there is less time to forage and food becomes scarce. So, let us lend you a helping hand to make those wintry months easier for them!🐦❄️

With New Year's Eve just around the corner, it is important to think about dogs that suffer from noise sensitivity and may find firework displays scary.🐶
Visit our blog "Noise Sensitivity In Dogs" for our guidance 🐾⬇️
Demonstrating a fear response to unexpected or unusual noises such as construction work, field shooting, thunderstorms and fireworks is a natural feature of dog behaviour, regardless of the triggering stimulus, and can be damaging to the dog’s welfare, leading to emotional and even physical problems if not properly managed.🐾
With New Year Celebrations over the next week, here are some tips for preparing for fireworks 🎆⬇
