I run the company along with our family pooch, Spud. HBH brings together the best bits across all of the wide ranges available to give the best possible choice for you and your horse. We have selected bits ranging from the lower priced stainless steel options through to the more expensive (but worth every penny) specialist metals and designs. The hire service (the Horse Bit Hire Bit Bank) gives you the option to try the bit and see how you get on, safe in the knowledge that if it isn't quite right, you can send it back and you haven't had to add yet another bit to your collection of unsuitable bits. However, most customers do find that with some bitting advice, we normally get it right first time. Working alongside Heather Hyde firstly as part of the original bit bank and then helping to build Neue Schule for over 6 years, I have broadened my bitting knowledge extensively. I'm also the proud winner of the Neue Schule Bitting Advisor of the Year two years in a row :-) As I sell brands other than Neue Schule, I am an Accredited Retailer for Myler (apparently there are only 25 Myler approved bitting specialists in the country of which I am one!) and received further training with Dale Myler to rebuild on this knowledge.

Some of the bits have been on trial once so have some teeth marks, some of them have just been unpackaged for talks etc. Regardless, I am having a clear out and have updated the availability in the Clearance Section. There are some very good discounts.

This is a very special local charity who is struggling at the moment financially. They do wonderful work and if anyone can help support them please do. HBH sponsors Marvin ; every little bit really can help ❤️

It is worrying for us, that despite our best efforts, we repeatedly face serious trouble financially.
Our future is far from secure. 🥹

As a small, volunteer run charity, we are always under pressure to pay the bills, as we don’t yet have the income of a more established organisation.

It currently costs around £240 per day to keep the Here4Horses wheels turning. 🙏🙏🙏
This might seem like a lot of money for some people and surprisingly little for others - equivalent perhaps to just one Director level salary in a big company.

Nevertheless - we rely heavily on our team of wonderful volunteers who step up time and again to help keep us afloat. They all wear halos 😇

Of course, there are also lots of lovely people who donate or fundraise for us and it’s a great cause for celebration when this happens. 🤩🤩

More than 70 horses and ponies will spend the rest of their lives directly benefitting from the fact that we are Here4Horses. Hundred’s more have indirectly been helped, through our expertise, intervention, advice and commitment to education. 🐎❤️🐎

Having taken in 3 more ponies recently, we have no choice but to close our doors until the situation improves. This makes us sad. 🥲

Paul Belasik talks about neck position, and it’s importance:

Hello my lovely horsey friends! 🐴
I hope you are all enjoying your first few days of 2024- I know I am! I've recently gained a few new followers who don't know me in person, so I thought I'd do a little introduction (slight cringe! 🫠).
