As many of you know, Shawbury Paws had to come to it's end last year as I left that house. I have so many wonderful memories in that house caring for so many different dogs. I could only stay away for so long!

So introducing the new Shawbury Paws in our new base in Telford. Ideal for those who live near the centre and surrounding areas.

Calling all nature enthusiast. For anyone who has been following wildlife fields progress, this will be going into our third year of project re-wild. Where we return 1.2 acres back to Mother Nature.

Lots of work has already been done with the introduction of a nature pool, insect habitats, planting over 150 trees and hedging plants and the installation of an owl box 🦉

We are preparing for our next round of planting! Even more trees for the coppice and more essential hedging wind protection to shield the animals that move in.

If this sounds like something you or a nature loving friend would like to get involved with drop me a message. We will be organising a planting day when the weather improves which is a great chance to meet other people, have a natter and build some homes for nature.

The new and improved field is open 🥳

We hit pause on our private field hire when the pandemic caused an influx of people who just weren’t appreciating the space. We had toys stolen, vandalism and just blatant disregard of the rules and other members. We shut the doors a few months ago to re-evaluate whether our vision was really feasible.

After some thinking, planning and development. We are relaunching the field on a members only, monthly scheme. Now a whopping 3 acres of space, incorporating our wildlife field which we have been lovingly nurturing 🌹🐝

This space was a life saver when we brought Win home and we hope to provide that same safe haven to those who understand the struggle!

Offering packages from bi-monthly to bi-weekly to suit your needs.

There is a new member of our pack we’d like to introduce 🥰 some of you may have spotted a new addition! Say hello to Tilly, aka Tidgey who looks like a little win!

Although she may look like a little pup she’s actually 10 years old! I think we can all agree she looks fabulous for her age 😍 Tilly has been here for the past 5 weeks and this is officially her retirement home!

The boys are smitten with her, Win grooms her every morning and evening 🥹

Safe to say Tilly has settled in amazingly well 😍

Exciting development at the pond for those following the wildlife fields progress! Dragonflies! And they are mating, so lots more to come.

Since we’ve started this project we’ve already seen a massive increase in wildlife numbers and variety, it’s great to see them moving back in!

The dogs love this field as it’s full of exciting smells, always a good doze after a walk in here 😅

Can’t believe Winston is two already!! Where did the time go!

So proud of the progress win has made! It wasn’t easy, lockdowns caused a lot of confusion for young dogs, at one point, Winston was so scared of strangers he would squeal when touched! Fast forward to today and he’s letting strangers fuss him at the Easter social. So proud of him 🥰 big shout out to Caroline at help at hand dog behaviour for her understanding and guidance

The weather report is in for next weekend promising no rain 🥳 so if you haven’t already booked your space on our Easter social event do it today to avoid disappointment! Our Easter egg hunt will be happening in our newly created enrichment field which I can’t wait to show people 🥰

Today we said goodbye to Freya 😢 with life expectancy averaging 5 months in the wild and 1 year in captivity, Freya did well to reach 1.5 years old, but sadly found this morning she had passed away in her sleep 😭 the hardest thing about loving our animals is losing them

For those following the progress of the wildlife field, as it’s such a beautiful day recorded an update as to what’s new and what’s coming 🤩 enjoy!

Merry Christmas to all of our customer, wishing you a very happy Christmas and new year. The boys have enjoyed the enrichment of unwrapping prezzies and now enjoying snuffle toys. This little roll up snail is my favourite 🥰🐌

This morning a little blue tit flew into the window at full pelt! Knocking to the ground dazed and concussed. This can kill birds, especially in the winter months when it’s much cooler, but you can help: - pick them up gently with a towel - put them in a box (shoe boxes with holes are perfect) I had to improvise with a plastic basket! - allow them time to recover somewhere warm, dark and quiet - when awake and alert again, gently move them outside for release This little chap was back up and awake before long. Took him outside and watched him fly off! 🐦

Today Winston went for his first agility training session and he absolutely smashed it 💪🏻 so proud of him! Hoping to build his confidence with this type of training, his home obstacles already under construction, can’t wait to see his progress!

Happy to see the sun again 🥰

Super proud mum moment 🥰 Winston has struggled with the car for months now. He would get himself into such a state that we thought our plans of days out and adventures with the dogs might be off the table. On Monday we started re-socialising the car, from all doors open to give him the option to get in and out, slowly closing the doors and spending longer periods in the car so he learnt it was a good place to be. This is day 5!! The progress is amazing! He’s so engaged and the body language in the car is so different! This may not seem much to some, but anyone who saw how anxious he was in the car will realise what a massive milestone this is for him! Thankyou so much to Caroline at Help at Hand Dog Behaviour for really understanding him 🥰 Next step, engine sound, and small movements!
