Not all dogs are capable of making it as search dogs. This is not always down to behaviour or not understanding the game but more down to the individual character of the dog. Over the last few months we have persevered with three of our latest recruits but unfortunately through no fault of their own they will not be entering the world of search.

We are looking for forever homes for these dogs who just need to be loved and cared for.

Murphy a 2 year old, is a short haired pointer who has been unable to fully adjust to life within our kennel environment, a loving dog who loves to be with people.

Vinnie is a 2 1/2 year old wire haired pointer who is struggling to cope with kennel life. He will need a fairly quiet start to his transition and a slow steady diet increase as he struggles to keep his weight on.

A home visit would have to carried out prior to any dogs leaving our care plus any further back ground checks. If you would like any further information please message us.

Mental stimulation is essential whether your dog is a high-energy puppy or laid-back older dog. Swimming, in open water or at a dedicated pool can provide physical exercise & social interaction. It’s also a great way to end a days training!.

UPDATE: Volunteers no longer needed. A huge thanks to those of you who supported our training.

Following the success of our callout for volunteers to help train our passive screening detection dogs, CASEC are extending the request and are looking for volunteers to come to our training centre in Marlow on the below dates.

24-26 May
30 May-2 June
7-9 June
12-16 June
26-30 June

Morning sessions run from 10am-12 midday and afternoon sessions run from 1-3pm.

Ideally you would be used to dogs and happy to have them screen (sniff) you.
Lots of standing and walking required however cookies, cake and hot drinks provided as compensation.

Unfortunately no children under 16 years of age or pet dogs allowed.

A massive THANK YOU to the amazing volunteers we have already met and worked with. You are making such a difference and we so appreciate each one of you.

Please comment below or DM us if you would like to be involved or for more information.

The good thing about recording what you are doing, is that you can reflect on your performance and try and be better.
Look at how this dog hears the clicker and reacts to my shadow moving.
Wasn't aware of my shadow till I watched the clip.
