Hello followers and friends of Custard Pups handmade dog collars. It’s Hayley here, returning after an unspeakably long period of silence (sorry about that!) to deliver an important announcement.
After many, many months of struggling to keep up with the increasing cost of running a small business in the UK, I have taken the difficult decision to cease trading and close my dog collar shop, Custard Pups.
Unfortunately for me, there are just too many other companies out there, big and small, who can do things bigger, better and cheaper than I ever could, and the pressures and skills involved of running my own business, what with taking photos, handling the website, promoting and creating content and making the collars, was just too much for one gal to handle! Even though I put my heart and soul into it, I don’t feel too sad and actually feel a great sense of relief about my decision and for the first time in a while, hope and excitement for the future.
That being said, I am now left with a substantial amount of pre-made collars and the materials to make probably hundreds more which I will be selling at a highly discounted rate.

To all those who have supported me over the years, thank you. Your orders, lovely reviews and kind words meant so much to me. If there is a particular design that you love, I’d suggest sending me an email to get your last orders in before I close for good. It was an honour to make things for your fur baby.
So with a grateful and optimistic heart, it’s a goodbye from my beloved Custard Pups. I learnt all the lessons you had to teach me (the final one being knowing when it’s time to let go) and here’s to new beginnings and a fresh new start.
