Happy 1st Birthday, Ziggy!

We had a little birthday party for the man himself in class yesterday because turning ONE is a big deal! 💛

It has been an absolute pleasure teaching you this past year. You’re growing into such a well-rounded, lovely little chap and watching your confidence and personality shine has been the best.

Your mum and dad adore you and it’s an honour to help such a wonderful partnership. Here’s to many more adventures, milestones and ‘Ziggy Zig ahh’s’.

Meet Tara 🤍

Our newest member of the Dog-Social team and it already feels like she’s been with us for years!

Tara’s kind, caring nature shines through in everything she does. Having spent years working as a carer, her gentle, patient approach comes so naturally and it’s easy to see why the dogs adore her calm energy. She has a real gift for giving even the quieter, more nervous dogs confidence.

She’s already made such a positive impact on the dogs and the team we can’t imagine Dog-Social without her!

Kimberley joined Dog-Social back in June 2024, and it’s hard to imagine the team without her now! Over the past year, she’s grown from strength to strength. Refining her handling skills, deepening her understanding of canine behaviour, and building beautiful bonds with the dogs she cares for every day.

Her kind, gentle energy really shines through and she has an incredible ability to stay calm under pressure, no matter what the day brings. The dogs absolutely adore her and it’s easy to see why. Her patience, consistency, and quiet confidence make her a real natural.

She fits into the team so naturally. Calm, dependable, and always able to lighten the mood with her great sense of humour.

We’re so proud of how far she’s come and feel soo lucky to have her as such an important part of the Dog-Social family. 🤍

Brad’s journey with Dog-Social began through his partnership with Sadie both in life and, eventually, in business. Together for over 11 years, Brad has been Sadie’s biggest supporter from the very start, long before Dog-Social became what it is today. While Sadie was learning, growing, and shaping her vision, Brad was there behind the scenes cheering her on (and occasionally being roped into the odd dog walk or DIY job!).

When Covid hit, the pair decided to take the leap and turn Dog-Social into a full joint venture combining their skills and passion to grow the business into the thriving team it is today. With a background as a quantity surveyor and skilled joiner, Brad made the bold decision to leave his former career behind and hasn’t looked back since.

Brad shares his home with Duke the Giant Schnauzer (the real boss) and his beloved Frenchie, Marley, who you’ll often spot riding along with him in the van! As well as helping with the day-to-day running of the business, Brad ensures every dog is safely collected and transported with care and has learned to gracefully accept that Duke will always come first in Sadie’s heart. 😉

Our team has been growing and evolving recently, so I thought it would be nice to introduce (or reintroduce!) everyone properly. Over the next few posts, I’ll be sharing a little bit about each member of the Dog-Social team and the roles we play in helping your dogs have the best experience possible.

My journey with dogs began back in 2011 when I got my first dog, Esta, an English Bulldog. That experience sparked a real passion for understanding dogs, which led me to leave my job at the bank, study Canine Care at Writtle College, and start my own dog-walking business and I’ve never looked back.

Starting out as a dog walker gave me years of hands on experience in dog socialisation, which has become one of the main focuses of what I do today. One of my biggest goals with Dog-Social is to help people truly understand what proper socialisation looks like, and to show just how much it can transform a dog’s confidence and overall wellbeing.

I genuinely believe every dog deserves the right to off-lead freedom, and that being able to interact safely and calmly around other dogs is vital for their happiness and mental wellbeing.

With over a decade of experience, including time spent working at a dog training school, I’ve had the privilege of working with so many different breeds and temperaments, each one teaching me something new along the way.

And honestly I’ve grown just as much as the dogs have over the years. They’ve taught me patience, perspective and probably humbled me more times than I can count 😂. I always say the dogs have shaped me into who I am today and they still do, every single day.

Today, I feel really lucky to lead such a dedicated team and to continue sharing what I’ve learned to help dogs and their owners build confidence, connection, and thrive together. 🤍

I’ve just finished uploading the rest of the videos to our story from while we were away (sorry to pepper you 😅) it’s been so lovely seeing all the dogs looking so happy!

A huge thank you to Kimberly & Tara for holding down the fort and doing such an amazing job. I’ve had glowing reports about all the dogs, they’ve clearly behaved themselves beautifully!

We had such a lovely break and made so many memories and I’m so grateful to the girls for making it possible for us to take that time to switch off and recharge.

I’m gradually working my way through the inbox now, so everyone should have a reply by this evening. I’ve also had lots of lovely texts come through while I’ve been away, which I’ll be replying to as well.

I absolutely love my job but it’s done me the world of good to step back for a moment and now I’m fully recharged and ready to get back into the swing of things!

A big thank you again to all our lovely customers, both to those whose walks we had to cancel and to those who had tweaks to their routines while we were away. We really do appreciate your understanding and support more than you know. 💕

Watching Duke and my little nephew interact is one of my absolute favourite things. The way Duke gives me the occasional glance like, “Are you sure about this tiny human?” 😂 but still sits there like the gentle giant he is.
My nephew is already obsessed with dogs and I love it 😍
