Amy's Animal Services I have a bachelors degree in Animal Behaviour, currently working towards a masters degree, and have I hope I get the chance to meet your lovely pet soon.

Since I was young I’ve loved animals — both learning about and taking care of them. I began working as a full-time Pet Care Provider in 2019 and now have the opportunity to share my love of animals with my clients and pet owners around the Wirral area. I pride myself on the high-standard of care and services that I offer. I have a number of clients who have become more like family, and customers w

Not only can puppies learn appropriate play with each other they also have the opportunity to interact with new people and with a variety of different toys and items in our enrichment playground.
This is also an opportunity to ask me all your puppy-related questions whether it's about toilet training or which harness to buy. We also have a collection of informative leaflets and a little shop, I also sell my Rosie's Creations (handmade jewellery) too. We have an exchange table for when your puppy outgrows something and all items that are left are free to take. And sometimes my own honorary forever puppy Rosie will be there too, to give your puppies a chance to interact with an adult dog in a controlled environment.

🐾Below are some of the more common stress signals our dogs may show.
🐾There are others, such as shaking off, mouthing, and pawing.
❗It is really important to recognise the signals in our own dogs, so that we can avoid potentially stressful situations for them and avoid this stress escalating into reactivity.
❗There are often posts on social media, where dogs are doing something that might look cute or clever, but on closer look, some of these dogs are showing signs of stress.
⭐We can help by not just clicking to like these posts, but actually looking at them properly first, to try and stop the cycle of using dogs for ‘likes'❗

We want to air on the side of caution when it comes to quick fixes in dog training. But sometimes just giving our dogs a little bit more lead or switching to a longer lead can make a huge amount of difference.

Because when we remove the tension. There’s nothing to pull against.
Find my guide reducing lead tension in my bio.

One of Bernie Rollin’s ideas was to apply the idea of telos to animals. In Greek philosophy telos relates to having a sense of purpose. With animals he said it meant the things that gave an animal its identity - or “the dog-ness of a dog”.

Just a reminder to regularly check your cats claws.

This disk looking thing is an ingrown claw. It’s gotten thick and has grown curled around and into the paw pad. It’s pretty painful for your cat, especially every time they step on that foot.

They are more likely to be found on front paws but I’ve seen them on back paws too. Mostly commonly on older indoor only cats but all cats can get them. I managed to remove this one quickly with minimal fuss. If you see one do get your local cat groomer or vet to deal with it asap as they are also an infection risk as well as constant pain.
