Our first and only shaded walk of the day is done, we were parked in the shade and it was still 24°c. We will be doing garden visits this week for those that are walked later in the day. Stay safe out in the heat, please walk either early morning or late evening when it's cooler. Every dog is different in how they cope with heat and humidity. It is worth remembering that the ground will also reflect the heat back up. Why not do scent work with your dog inside or help keep them cool with ice cubes in their water bowl or if you have water close by take them for a dip.

We sadly heard of the passing of Honey today, we had a lovely (last) walk on Thursday. Run free Honey, we'll miss our little lunchtime tootles, often walking with a sandwich or a coffee. Run free little one. Sending everyone really big hugs. Everyone we walk really does leave big paw prints on our hearts as well. We all love your dogs as much as you do, they become a part of every dog walkers, extended walking family. 💔🌈🌈.

Definitely the best start to the day. The sun slowly burning off the mist. Another 6.30am walk to beat the heat today, stay cool and safe its 31°c 🥵🥵🥵. Please only take your furry friends out for a walk later this evening when it's a little cooler. Heatstroke is a serious risk again today, so stay out of the heat and out of the vets.

We thought we would share the how hot and heat stroke article from www.itsadogz.life. If it rains as promised this week we'll finally be out 🥳🥳. It's been a very long old 2 weeks with hardly any walking, so really hoping we can get out this week and see our little canine companions who are missing their group walks. We pride ourselves in taking great care of your furry best friends, so due to welfare we won't walk above 18°c, either cancelling walks, walking earlier or doing pop-ins for the garden. What a difference a day makes!!!! Not even the dogs liked the torrential downpour, walked to heel all the way.

With summer finally arriving from tomorrow onwards 😎😎 and with temperatures staying well above 20°c next week, we will only be offering garden time for anyone that needs it. We'll return to walking when the temperature drops to 18°c or below, or it's cloudy with a breeze. We will let everyone know if we plan to head out.

Have fun in the sun, keep your dogs cool, take them for shorter walks and limit the amount of running around they do. Take them out either very early or very late when it's cooler and take water with you. During the day you can use their daily food allowance to do little bits of training and scatter feeding throughout the day which will tire them out mentally.
