What a blustery, chilly day for a first outdoor session for 20 week old Rosie.

She was ably assisted by Izzy who happened to be staying for the weekend at . Izzy held Rosie’s paws whilst she practiced everything she’s learnt since started her puppy training at before Christmas.

Excuse the puns but Rosie blew it out the park!

A grown woman should simply not be as excited as this one is at the return of these two lovely ladies!

Oscar has had the busiest of days today. Firstly a big walk with Hazel’s Happy Hounds and then this evening, a fun training session at at HQ where he did lots of concentrating whilst he learned about recall, loose lead walking and his ‘this way’ command.

I suspect if we all hear snoring tonight, it might be the snores of this very tiredy boy!

It was a joy to work with this 14 week old beauty and his family this morning - what a fantastic opportunity to start work so young and to have it come to via a recommendation from a previously happy customer who had both their dogs trained here before.

Happy training to Kendal and his family. This is going to be a super fun time!

Yesterday this young man was working on his focus and loose head walking….and that in turn became a ‘leave it’ ‘drop it’ session for reasons that are obvious here! 😂

You might ask, ‘Who’s the handsome boy?’

Isn’t he absolutely stunning.

This teenage boy hadn’t had the most consistent start to life in his previous home in terms of his training but since he’s been with his new humans, he’s come on leaps and bounds.
and his pawrents have been working together on his ability fo focus, make good choices, cope with distractions, recall and walking nicely on his lead. As you can imagine, he is a big strong boy so his lead walking had to be one of our priorities so both his mum and dad could walk him safely.

This morning I got the best update from his family who are rightly so proud of what he has achieved in a pretty short time. The key is, if we can teach your dog to learn by communicating in a way that they understand, the results shall come.

‘You are kidding right…training still goes on in the rain?!’

This little lad and his brave mum ‘enjoyed’ a very soggy doggy loose lead walking session this morning and he smashed it….his mummy has been struggling with this element of his training and it was quite a simple solution…Ringo simply didn’t know what was expected of him so we taught him in a way that he now understands using +R (positive reinforcement)…kind, fun, science based, ethical and effective! It’s a work in progress but amazing results!

Now, where’s the shower/kettle/dry clothes/hot water bottle? Enjoy warning up you guys!

Second session today for this beauty where he learned about how to walk nicely on the lead and how to not be so scared by unfamiliar noises like buses and lorries as well as woofing at other dogs and jumping up at people. His mum couldn’t have been more proud of how well he did and either could I. He smashed it and the proud face shows he knew it too. Happy Christmas boy…you’re definitely on the ‘good boy’ list.

Young Rex thoroughly enjoyed his training during the week where we worked on the basics of the clicker and started attaching it to all the commands he already knows. His humans have already done lots of amazing work with him but he rapidly growing into a big strong lad and learning these basics helped us move on to work on his loose head walking which is hugely important in helping him and his owner to enjoy their walks together.

Little Max had his first session on Saturday - he’s just hit 8 months old and well, we all know that can be a bit of an ‘what on earth has happened to my puppy?’ stage…the hormones, the apparent loss of hearing…this wee boy worked so hard on concentrating and I’m lead to believe that 24 hours later, he’s still pretty shattered with all the thinking. This is one wee star ⭐️ in the making.

Oh Dexter, Dexter, Dexter…your mum came to training with you full of worries but my goodness, didn’t you do her proud! You’ve come on so so much, and you really showed us all what a big grown up boy you’re becoming. This level of tiredness didn’t come simply from letting Dexter exercise physically, but mentally too.

1 year old Dillon was supported in his training this evening by Frankie Ribs, Florence and Baby Bean who were more than happy to act as distractions so he could practice his commands out in the open without being put off. We also did some doggy parkour moves to help him engage in his surroundings and to help him realise that staying with his humans is just as much fun and rewarding as disappearing off across the park to play with other dogs he sees. Thanks to Ralph and HugO who were also willing stooge dogs.

Young Stanley is just over 4 months old and his pawrents had, in the hope it would tire him out, played lots and lots of games with him and as a result, he’d become a bit of a terror and the family were tearing their hair out.

At his first training session, it was clear that this young boy was over-aroused and his ability to focus and make wise decision was just not there.

Helping his owners understand how important sleep, calm and rest are for such a young puppy, and tasking them to do things a bit differently over the following 3 days, we arranged for them to return on Sunday so we could hopefully work with a pup who was a bit more able to concentrate on learning and listening.

Wow, for the lad who couldn’t sit still for even a millisecond and who found it impossible to concentrate on that first day, the difference was incredible as his owners felt that they now had a puppy they felt they can work with and want to live with.

Keep it up Stanley…you’re a rising star!

It was an absolute pleasure to meet 7 year old Ruby and her mum today for a training session. I’ve heard about her through a friend for a long time now but only got to meet her this afternoon. She might be a big girl but she’s quite anxious of meeting new people, including me, so today was about helping Ruby and her mum with strategies to help Ruby cope when she’s worried.

Working with Mack and his humans today was an absolute joy and a new way of working for me as Mack is virtually deaf…sign language it is then! What a clever, clever boy. Love the fact that at I am always building on and developing my dog training knowledge and skills. Today for Mack it’s definitely a HUGE 👏👍🏻.

Nooooooooo, have huge amounts of human and doggy fun like Bailey and his family and learn lots and lots!

Milo, at nearly 1 year old (happy birthday when it comes sunshine!), had a bit of a rough start having to have operations on two of his legs at an early but despite that his humans have done a great job with his training that started before his surgery. They did lots of work with him to keep his brain active when he was incapacitated and now that he’s been signed off at the vet, we’re back on it…tonight dealing with distractions in the local park…superstar!

Young Vinnie has been training with INM for quite a while now but at 19 months old had, shall we say, gone off the boil a bit and had been struggling to focus on his walks. Saturday’s session let us re-group, refresh and look at different ways to help make his humans the focus of his walks…looks like it helped doesn’t it!

Hector is an 8 month old Bocker - you guys can work it out - and he’s been putting his family through their paces with his training as every juvenile boy pup does. This has all left them feeling a bit frustrated and dejected. However, in today’s session in the open fields, we helped him with his focus and ability to cope with a variety of distractions. He was seriously tested as the sunshine made for a busy training location but with god focus board, high value rewards and the patience and dedication of his family, he smashed it and we were all super proud of him. Never lose hope...re-group, breathe, smile and you’ll see it all happening before your eyes.
