How to ‘pill pop’ tablets to a cat! 💊
Here we are demonstrating how to give a cat antibiotic tablets using a pill popper. If your pet has sussed that their meds are hidden within their food then this may be the best option to administer your pet’s medication. This method (with a bit of practice) enables you to administer your pet’s meds in a stress-free manner with the plus of not getting your fingers bitten! 😄

Day 7 - Hospitalisation Nursing 🩺💊
Every day a Veterinary Nurse will be taking care of their patients whilst hospitalised - these patients may be hospitalised for boarding, for surgery, for medical treatment or, in some unfortunate cases, for critical care.
Whilst a patient is hospitalised, their sole care is with a Veterinary Nurse. The Veterinary Surgeon will liaise with the Vet Nurse, the condition that’s being treated, the history of the patient, what the plan is for the day ie. surgery, bloods, intravenous fluid therapy and then the rest is down to the Veterinary Nurse. Several checks are carried out throughout the day such as recording of heart and respiratory rate, temperature and mucous membrane colour - all observations are recorded regularly on the patients hospitalisation record as well as medications, bowel movements, pain scoring, rate of fluid therapy etc. These observations enable the Vet Nurse to ensure the appropriate care and treatment is provided and the Veterinary Surgeon can adjust the plan of treatment accordingly dependent on that particular case. 💉
The care in which is provided can be different dependent on the individual patient however, one thing that is always the same is the love and care our Vet Nurses give to their patients 🐾❤️
