Smiling cats and dogs We are a pet sitting business in Ilkeston, Derbyshire. We mainly offer cat visits and microchipping for cats and dogs. She specialises in cat visits nowadays.

Liz has many years of experience working with animals. She has a very special bond with cats, having owned them herself since childhood and having worked with them for several years. She is always looking to further her knowledge about them. She is currently studying for a qualification in Feline Anatomy and Physiology. Smiling Cats and Dogs has two industry awards. We have the Bark Certificate of Excellence for 2020 and we are winners of the Central England Prestige Awards 2020/21.

HOLIDAY CLOSURE DATES - REMINDER

Hi everyone,

We periodically post a reminder of our holiday dates that are coming up soon. We are closing for a few days. We realise it's peak season but we are restricted by school holidays. The Little Helper finishes school on 24th July, so we have booked as soon as possible after this date to minimise disruption.

We are away from 27th July - 5th August inclusive. We are back at work on 6th August. We apologise for any inconvenience. We are very sorry if it affects some of our very loyal and regular clients. It's our first holiday in 4 years and we really need it. I hope everyone understands. Thank you everyone for all your support. It is very much appreciated 😊❤️

CHANGES FOR THIS WEEKEND ONLY

Just to let everyone know, we are not doing any visits this weekend (Saturday and Sunday). My daughter and I have plans and my colleague Lisa would have been covering any visits. We haven't had any bookings come in so I have stood her down. I will be closing early for booking enquiries on Saturday. So our hours for this weekend for booking enquiries are as follows;

Saturday 9am - 3pm
Sunday - Closed

This is close to our normal hours, apart from an earlier finish on Saturday.

I will be having a well earned break! Time to unwind and come back with more energy for another busy week next week!

This is Skip. He's been very poorly lately. His owner has told me he is reaching the end of his life. Every visit I do now could be the last. I had a lovely visit with him today. Lots of cuddles. We have looked after him for 6 years. We have spent a lot of time with him. I used to see him every week day. The Little Helper has built a very special bond with him too.
