🌟 Friday Focus 🌟

This week's Friday focus is all about the importance of microchipping and ensuring your pets details are up to date! 🧐

Bobby escaped out of his garden after a delivery driver left the gate open. A very kind family brought him into the surgery after they found him wondering. Our trainee nurse Anna scanned Bobby for a microchip and contacted his very worried owner 🐶

Due to Bobby's family keeping his microchip details up to date we were able to reunite him with his family 🥰

Did you know ❓
🐶 All dogs or puppies need to be microchipped by the age of eight weeks old and have their details registered on a compliant database 🖥
🐱 It is also a legal requirement in England to microchip your cat if they're older than 20 weeks.

🌟 Friday Focus 🌟

This week's Friday Focus is all about the extreme cold weather we've been having recently ❄

Here are some top tips to keep your animals safe and warm:

🐮Calf jackets
🐮 Extra feed and straw
🐮 Insulated water pipes
🐮 Adding floating objects to water troughs to prevent freezing

🐶 Check/wipe paws regularly
🐶 Provide warm beds for naps
🐶 Wrap up on walks
🐰 Bring small furries inside
👩‍⚕️Pets with arthritis can experience more pain during colder weather and may struggle on slippy surfaces
👩‍⚕️ Some brands of antifreeze can be toxic to your pets, keep out of reach!
