This is the second towable field shelter this customer has ordered, the first was about 5years ago and is still towed to be moved regularly to this day.
One of the reasons we were keen to show this latest video is to not only show the build quality but also wanted to show the correct way to tow a field shelter. Andy, customer, as said before has been moving his other shelter for years and always starts by ensuring the tractor is parallel with the shelter, he then takes the strain very slowly and steadily moves off, always thinking ahead of obstacles and dips in ground. When turning a corner it is important that you take it very wide and very gradually, making the journey with no pressure or jerks to the building at all.
Another interesting fact is the original shelter, like this one, 24”x12”, in the middle of the bad storm we had last year, was rolled over a complete 360degrees, landed upright and after being towed back into place was assessed to have only very minimal damage, where a truss clip snapped.

Storm Bert no match for our field shelters 💨No damage to any of the timber or roofing, proving that our build is second to none, and one of the main reasons we never use barn lap or feather edge board. You get what you pay for👌

Three field shelters completed recently for a lovely family new to the area. Built to customers own spec, one with plywood lined gates, one with plywood lined gates with a partition in middle and one with slip rails and partition in the middle, All 24x12 with pent roof, lined inside and sited on metal towable skids.

Alpaca shelter completed, we’ve done a few of these now. Ever so helpful alpacas too wanted to be in it before it was even up. 😂

A massive project completed in some stunning scenery at Elsthorpe near Grimsthorp castle. Stock and deer fencing almost 4000 metres in total. Great customers, Sue Arrowsmith, who many know in the showing world, and her son Jack were an absolute pleasure to work for. Jack gave as much support by helping to move things around the estate making our work much easier.
Special thanks must also go out to Tam Engineering who manufactured and worked with me to design the purpose built equipment which helped enormously and made working safer.
Lastly thanks to our work crew, top job.

Spectacular scenery where we are working currently, just completed 2000 metres of stock fencing and now working on 1800 metres of 6ft high deer fencing (1609 metres in a mile)
A pleasure working for these customers and the views are a bonus

Due to increasing workload we have a vacancy for someone in our workshop, building field shelters and stables. Would ideally suit someone with shed building experience or competent person willing to learn quickly.
Competitive rates of pay (would consider self employment for right person).
Mon -Fri 7.30 -4.30 8 hour day

VACANCY for PROJECT CO-ORDINATOR
Job includes being responsible for small team, co-ordinating projects, ensuring suitable tools and materials for jobs.
Time management and supervision of team. This includes being hands on and will be required to actively participate on projects.
Must have a sound knowledge and experience of working with wood and associated tools and ideally some fencing or shed building experience. Based in Wisbech, Cambs but travel throughout East Anglia
Includes driving and towing.
Non smoker preferred
