It's 'National Answer your Cats' Questions' day.
What question do you think your cat wants the answer to?
Well Bean's question to me is always 'can I have some food?'
This question is emphasised by his efforts at breaking through packaging. Yes we feed him! Lots!
Obviously, when cats meow at me I say yes I know. They like to know they are listened to.

Bean is trying to look innocent here but in reality we all know he is a trouble maker.
He wants to play so starts off washing Daisy-Bear. She knows what he is up to and doesn't want to play or be chased.

I'm back now from my much needed break.
Thank you very much to all cat owners for asking me to care for their pets over Christmas and New Year.
Lots of new cats as well. While I was off, I even had time to update my website with new pet customers.

I'm on holiday this week! A much needed break after the festive period.
These are my planned breaks this year.

If you have a cat proof garden, make sure the snow hasn't compromised it.
Thank you to Ben who has gone out and shaken the snow off the fence this morning.

I regularly look after a cat who is nearly 18 with various health issues.
Tonight he went to his toy box so I wiggled the fishing rod, and he jumped and ran for it.
Made me have happy tears to see him content and playful after slowing down recently.
Usually we spend the whole half an hour eating or trying to encourage him to eat so he can have his medicines.
We always have a good chatter together and he does like company.

This is a cat representation of what I will be doing at midnight tonight.
Happy Mew Year!
Are you going to be out celebrating?

I hope you are having a lovely festive break.
The next couple of weeks are busy with cat visits so I will be slower replying to messages.
Happy holidays, Love Livi >o<

I'm imagining I'll look like a mince pie in a couple of weeks.
Have a very lovely time. >o<

Starting to get the Christmas decorations up now.
These are the stockings I made for my cats.
Do you get presents for your pets?
11/12/2024
Yep. 😹 I did vacuum first but the cats came to help.
Makes me smile.
Wrapping paper chosen by using the one they aren't sat on.

Ginger only used this Christmas tree cat bed for a couple of times.
Absolutely adored her. She was very soft, laid back and lazy.
This photo brings back many happy memories. Especially as she was with us for most of the children's lives.

It's Small Business Saturday!
Don't forget smaller, independent businesses when doing your Christmas shopping.
I've made a good start on my Christmas shopping as the festive period is busy for cat visits.

Here are just a few photos from my house sitting with Charlie.
As it was more wintery this time, Charlie was more cuddly and often came looking for a lap! This was so nice.
He also loved playing - hide and seek, chase as well as with usual cat toys.

Happy December!
Some companies close for a week over Christmas.
Don’t forget to make sure you have enough medicine / food for your pet.
Vets are often shut for bank holidays plus there may be delays with deliveries.

🌲🎄❄️ I've already visited houses with Christmas trees and decorations. 🌲🎄❄️
Please be aware that your pet may chew the wire, plastic, tree, decorations... everything it shouldn't eat!
Supervise your pets while they investigate the new items.
To be on the safe side, please put Christmas items away if you are going on holiday if you think there is a risk. ⚡ (Or close the door to prevent the cat going in the room.)
Most Christmas plants are poisonous as well. ⚠️
Please feel free to share your lovely videos of Christmas disasters. I have seen some lovely videos of kittens climbing up trees this morning. 😻

The problem to voice to text with my phone, is that it doesn't always understand me.

Bean is 4 today! (An estimate as he was found on the streets.)
Here is a throwback to when he was a kitten.
He still investigates and pats everything.
Bean brings so much happiness and chaos to our house. Love him to bits. 😻

Bean loving his new cardboard ball track
Bean loves this corrugated cardboard ring.
It's a cross between a scratching post and a ball track. It moves when he pats it, which means he 'kills' it more.
This video was from when it first arrived. He now has stretched it so he can get inside. Sometimes I wrap it around a small table to make it different.
Both Bean and our little cat play with it most days.
(It was a present from a client so I don't know where it is from.)

Animals Mean Everything to Me.
Cat Sitting - Dog Walking - Small Animal Boarding - Pet Hygiene Visits - Pet Companionship Visits
I’m Livi and it has been my life goal to set up a pet care business. Predominantly I focus on cat and small pet sitting. Alternatively, if the small animal cage is transportable, I can look after the pets at my house.
Wirral Whiskers has now been running 6 months and I am so pleased to say that all my customers have been very happy with the service I have provided. Pet owners receive regular updates, photos and videos of their pets while they are away which gives them peace of mind and they can see how much fun and interaction they are having.
I’ve had various animal care experience including cat fostering, veterinary receptionist and pet sitting. Qualification wise I have a BSc in Animal Behaviour and Welfare and an HND in Welfare of Animals (Management).
As soon as left home, I had a variety of mice, rats and hamsters. At one point I had 30 mice! My most crazy adventure was house sitting and looking after 7 dogs for ten days. Animals I’ve had over the years includes birds, fish, rats, mice, African soft furred rats, guinea pigs, rabbits, ducks, all sorts of hamsters and last but not least, cats. I’ve also had experience with reptiles and snakes. One day I hope to have a few pygmy goats and some alpacas.
I’ve lived on the Wirral for about 19 years now. I have two children, a husband, and a house full of pets.
