My ethos is about providing personalised, one to one care for your pet. I work around their needs to ensure they have the most human interaction and fun. Fundamental needs such as feeding and water are always a priority, basic grooming is provided as well as mental stimulation. For your peace of mind, I’m:

Services Provided:
Cat Sitting Visits – half hour visit to care for your cats (and little furry/scaly pets.) This includes feeding, clean water, litter trays, medication, companionship and anything else it needs. I bring a range of activity toys to keep your cats happy and entertained, even after I leave. Pet Sitting Visits – half hour visits to care for your pets needs such as cleaning out lots of pets. Cat / House Sitting – I can stay at your house to care for you pets and house. I would pop out for my normal cat visits but would be at your house at least 16 hours in each 24 hour period. Small Animal Boarding – little furries are very welcome to have a holiday at our house. This includes mice, rats, hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs, rabbits and ferrets. Nail Trims – I bring my insured assistant/husband to hold your cat so I can cut your cats nails quickly and as stress free as possible, in your own home. About Me
I’ve lived on the Wirral for over 20 years with my husband. We have two children, 3 cats, 5 African soft furred rats, a Roborovski hamster, 6 African pygmy frogs and some shrimp.
We've been married 24 years now!
I don't think Ben knew what he was getting himself into....
Sometimes I come home and tell him about the conversations I've had with cats.
He is always on the end of the phone if I need help. Most recently, he came when I got locked in a house and managed to rescue me.

Lengths of ribbon are often the best toys.
Especially for shy cats like Ellie as it gives her some distance from me. She soon realised I was safe and only there to play and feed her.

All the cats love using the tent but they do appreciate having a garden rug as well. 😹
The house and the garden belong to the cats and everything is centred around them.
Apologies for yet another photo of Bean. I think it is because he is always with us or doing something. This morning he has been creating havoc chasing flies.

Bean approves of my daughters new ladder.
It would make a good look out post for him if he could see.
The previous ladder had thin metal rungs which he could run up. This one gives him places to sit as well as him being able to take his time going up to bed.
This ladder means all three cats can go up into her bed which makes everyone smile.
Bean can still run up it but our little runt takes each step one at a time, very slowly.
I'm fully booked for cat visits from the 25th July until the 6th August. (Don't worry I've left space in case people are delayed back from their holidays.)

Although I had to supervise this one as she would eat all of the food given a chance.
Eeek the 'meow mobile' has gone in for an MOT and service today.
Got my paws crossed that she passes.
I have just finished house sitting with Charlie.
'Normal' cats love the sun but Charlie takes this to a new level and loves to be cooked in the conservatory. Sunny days were his favourite.
He liked company so I sat with him with my sun hat and glasses.
This is a list of all our pets that I leave Ben in charge of when I'm away house sitting.
Fortunately, my youngest teenager is a great help with the pets. (The frogs, gerbils and Russian hamster are hers.) But she refuses to do the litter trays.
If I nip home to pick up things, I run around checking the pets and doing the litter trays. The cats aren't usually bothered to see me - especially if I have to cut their claws.
At least with me away, it makes it easier at mealtimes as Ben doesn't have to make food for me.
I'm very grateful to Ben! I think he is glad of some peace and quiet when I go away.
Introducing Steve. 😹
Steve is what happens if you have an empty tank available. (It was a very sad day when the last of our African soft furred rats died. We'd got five of them during Covid, so they were a large feature of the last few years. )
My daughter is very pleased with her new pet. She had so many fond memories of her first Russian hamster, Rainbow when she was about 5.
Now ten years later, she did her own research and looks after him very well.
Although, in our house, it is very strange to have a human name for a pet.

Looks so relaxed even though it's a thin shelf. Such a cutie.
I spent last week living with all of these cats.
Even creating this post I had to count up to 10, and as usual only getting to 9 and trying to think which one was missing. 😹
It's so lovely staying as there is always lots of cuddles. At night there was usually at least three with me. This was a real treat!
Can't wait to stay again.
I've never met a cat like Tiger before.
As soon as I walked into his house, he would try and climb up me to sit on my shoulder.
He would sit there quite happily as I walked around.
There's nothing better than a cat that likes a cuddle and snuggles in.
Over the next few months I am away house sitting on and off. Which unfortunately reduces the times when animals can come to our house for their holidays.
My outside bunny boarding accommodation is fully booked until 20th August.
I still have availability for cat sitting (except the week commencing 6th May).
Some people book in advance for their cats staycations - I even have some bookings for 2025.

I hadn't seen them since last summer. But Tilly and Rocky who are the shy ones, came out on the second visit. I was so surprised and pleased.
I have told Bean that it is possible to be nice to other cats and gave this as an example. Typical teenager, he hasn't listened to me.
After the Easter holiday craziness, I've finally updated my website with the lovely new cats I've visited.

It was so lovely seeing my regulars cat friends as well over the holidays.
It was a very sad day recently when this 6tft mural came down.
My little girl had been asking for this to be removed for a while. But I still really liked it.
The redecoration ended up being a bigger job than expected. She wanted a new bed with a proper ladder (rather than a thin rung metal one).
Why? So all the cats could get into bed with her.
I'm pleased to say on the first night it was finished, all cats managed to get up the new ladder on their own. Even the little runt who had to take it slowly, one rung at a time.
Bean could run up it once he knew it was safe.
Two of our three cats love this off cut remains of a ladder. It literally makes me laugh out loud to see them climb up and down it.
We currently have this in our living room. Why not? 😹
My family say I should keep it in the kitchen so I can reach the cupboards. Cheeky!

I have no idea about plants. Each time I go to the garden centre I have to look on my phone for screenshots like this one. (Then I hope that the plants will survive my lack of knowledge.)
Our cats now go out in the back garden and love to chew grass so I wanted to make sure that all the plants were safe for them.
I was shocked that bulbs I planted years ago have grown. Lots of crocus’. They have since been moved to the front garden.
It’s always worth checking what you have growing to see if it is animal safe. Lots of spring bulbs aren’t pet safe.

Bean loves this corrugated cardboard ring. It's a cross between a scratching post and a ball track. It moves when he pats it, which means he 'kills' it more. This video was from when it first arrived. He now has stretched it so he can get inside. Sometimes I wrap it around a small table to make it different. Both Bean and our little cat play with it most days. This weekend I was away house sitting. Mrs Squirrel was waiting for me to finish feeding the pets so she could have breakfast. The day before, she took a nut out of my hand. 😻 Two young foxes came for their tea as well. I was watching out of the window but it was too dark to take photos. Both pets were so lovely but the best bit was when the cat slept with me at night. Unlike mine, it didn't bite my face for food at 4am. I usually check my messages last thing at night about 11pm, and before I go out on visits at 630am. In the mornings I'm keen to get round to feed all the cats. There has been lots of traveling between visits too this week. I did a visit this morning and was worried someone had been in. As I was leaving, I let the owner back in as hadn't seen her message sent at a normal time. 🙀😹 It was nice to have a chat. Plus hopefully I wore her kitten out for a bit. Sorry to the kittens mum!

Thanks to my mother in law for all the new cat toys dispatched this week! She'd wrapped my husband's birthday presents in this paper which all the cats have loved. This is Chumley who is a older gentleman of about 18. He's not always keen on new things but this was a hit Chumley makes me laugh as he tells me what he wants to do. I wanted to share this massive progress with our nervous cat, Fermi. Not only did she let me sit on the sofa when she was already there bu tI was able to stroke her. She wasn't keen and jumped off the sofa - she didn't run away though.

I’m Livi and it has been my life goal to set up a pet care business. Predominantly I focus on cat and small pet sitting. Alternatively, if the small animal cage is transportable, I can look after the pets at my house.
Wirral Whiskers has now been running 6 months and I am so pleased to say that all my customers have been very happy with the service I have provided. Pet owners receive regular updates, photos and videos of their pets while they are away which gives them peace of mind and they can see how much fun and interaction they are having.
I’ve had various animal care experience including cat fostering, veterinary receptionist and pet sitting. Qualification wise I have a BSc in Animal Behaviour and Welfare and an HND in Welfare of Animals (Management).
As soon as left home, I had a variety of mice, rats and hamsters. At one point I had 30 mice! My most crazy adventure was house sitting and looking after 7 dogs for ten days. Animals I’ve had over the years includes birds, fish, rats, mice, African soft furred rats, guinea pigs, rabbits, ducks, all sorts of hamsters and last but not least, cats. I’ve also had experience with reptiles and snakes. One day I hope to have a few pygmy goats and some alpacas.
