This is Dude he’s a xl bully, he’s the biggest softy you will ever meet, he loves giving kisses and cuddles he just wants lots of attention (which we love to give 🥰) because of the law he has to be muzzled when he’s out of his kennel and on the paddock. This post is just to say if you have an xl bully and your not sure if you can go away because not every kennels will take them, we do and we absolutely love them, so come and have a look round our boarding 🩶🩶🐾🐾

Thank you for all your messages of support & donations over the weekend It was a tough run for me….
Slowest marathon to date. It was still an amazing experience. The support offered by the crowd on the course was phenomenal.

If you’ve ever considered doing a marathon, even if you’ve never run before I would highly recommend entering the ballot or applying for one of the many charity places. If you follow an 18 week training plan you will succeed and the sense of achievement, especially for beginners will be beyond all of your expectations.

Still time to donate if you haven’t already. We have almost raised enough to sponsor 6 kennels for those poor dogs that desperately need our help

Well it appears to be happening again. My name is on the wall!!!! Thought i’d take the opportunity to do my annual fundraiser for Helping Yorkshire Poundies. They are a dog rescue charity based in South Yorkshire, rehoming unwanted dogs from our area. SEEKING FOSTER OR ADOPTIVE HOMES for
Albert and Bruno together or separately. A pair of surprisingly strong white bobtail boys aged approx 1.5 years. Both boys are neutered.

BOTH boys hearing have been checked by a vet and both have no issues. Their recall is good and they have been good with people and other dogs but we have limited information about them.

They have a great bond but it’s proven very difficult to find a home for two strong boys together and we feel they would both cope perfectly ok on their own which gives them both an opportunity to find loving homes.

Cheeky boys who can open doors. They are both escape artists so we need someone who has a secure home and garden.

They have come into rescue, emaciated through neglect and in great need of tlc. We are looking for families who will work with us and follow our advice, who can help them both gain weight.

Currently in kennels in the Worcestershire area.

Please help us share these two beautiful boys so that we can find them homes soon.

Please can someone help me with little Edith from 10th - 18th February? I am fostering her from The Mill House Animal Sanctuary but unfortunately the RSPCA have closed them down. I don’t have her vaccination records so can’t put her in home boarding. She would be better staying with another dog or with someone that WFH. She’s the sweetest of dogs. I could offer a swap for a stay at

Thank you everybody for your support and help in trying to find him a new home, it’s been a worrying, stressful time, as it is is for many people up and down the country!

Time is running out for Robbie!

Robbie has just 4 DAYS LEFT, to find a home and be saved, as after 31st Dec we won’t be able to rehome him, due to the law on XL Bullies.

- 2-3yrs old.
- Castrated Male
- vaccinated & microchipped.
- 21” to the withers approx
- 35KG approx.
- Muzzle trained.
- Very friendly/cuddly.. but can be shy with new people initially.
- Never shown people aggression
- Children 10yrs +
- Not well socialised with dogs, would be better as the only dog (potentially could live with a large female)
- Not cat/small animal friendly.
- Strong to walk, but harness and halti trained.
- Some separation anxiety, but has been crated before.

We are trying desperately to save this boy! Please share far and wide! Advice will be given to any potential adopters, and the charity will cover the exemption fee… but he will also need to be insured etc.

Please share 🤞🏻 This is Cooper, he is a 2 year old Lurcher x GSD, who is neutered and in excellent condition. He needs a forever home.

He is full of love and energy, and needs plenty of exercise and stimulation- he would do brilliantly at dog agility/sports/disc dog or obedience training. He is highly food-motivated, is eager to please, and loves lots of fuss. He is a VERY GOOD BOY who has had a rough start.

We’re so sad for poor BRANSTON - he’s got such bad luck 😢🤎🧡

He had not one, but TWO meet and greets last week… and both families chose other dogs to adopt over him 😭 This is, of course, totally fine - it has to feel ‘right’ for everyone…. But what bad luck for it to happen twice 😭💔

We really have no idea how anyone can meet this gorgeous boy and NOT fall head over heels in love… just look at that face 🤎🧡🤎

He’s only very young, is very fed up in kennels and really, really needs to find his ‘people’ …. 🤞🤎🧡

Woof everyone ..my name is Dexter. I have been at Mayflower since March 2020. I am one of the longest stay residents here. I keep seeing my friends go to their “forever homes” and keep thinking is that something that I might get soon. A “forever home” sounds just the thing. It’s not that I’m not happy here..my carers are great and I have come such a long way since I arrived. I used to live in Romania and found myself in a kill shelter. Luckily for me a kind person from the UK fundraised for me to be rescued and transported here to the UK, where I have been 2.5 years. When I arrived I was absolutely petrified and couldn’t even look people in the eye. With a lot of patience and kindness I’m being brave and meeting new people happily. I’m still making progress too as I can still sometimes I find it hard to trust people and it takes a while. I just love other dogs, but could live with or without them. I have to say the adoption process will require a few meets as I need you to understand that takes me a while to get to know you and build that trust but if you meet me you’ll see I’m worth it! I will need an adult only, fairly quiet home and to be honest I’m not too fond of cats. I am five years old and described as a medium / large sized male. So you get a lot of love! I absolutely adore chin tickles from my carers, playing in the paddock with my friends and going out on walks. I am told that I am an absolute dream on the lead. Speaking of dreams … It’s my biggest dream that I find my very own “special people”. So if you are out there and reading this it would be a pleasure to meet you. I have my paws crossed.

Today we took Sam the dog to say his final farewell to his master, Phillip.

Phillip, an end-of-life patient at the Northern General Hospital wanted to see his companion, 15-year-old Sam, who he had had since a puppy.

We picked Sam up from Sheffield Council Kennels where he was being cared for and transported him safely in our vehicle to the hospital.

They spent an hour together and it was joyful. Sam, who is deaf and blind instantly knew his master was there.

We were very happy to facilitate this happy reunion.

RSPCA SHEFFIELD: 'LONELIEST DOG IN YORKSHIRE STILL LOOKING FOR NEW HOME AFTER TWO AND A HALF YEARS IN CARE

This poor Sheffield pooch has been dubbed the ‘loneliest dog in Yorkshire’ after spending more than two and a half years in the RSPCA's care.

Layla, a black whippet crossbreed, aged approximately four years old, has been in care for 925 days and has spent a heartbreaking 212 days looking for a new home, with the RSPCA still looking for that one ‘special person’ to take her on.

Having come into RSPCA Sheffield’s care in 2020 as part of a welfare investigation, the animal welfare charity has described Layla’s ongoing search for her forever home as ‘heartbreaking’, but it is determined to find her a loving place in which to live

POOR JASPER NEEDS URGENT HELP 💔😓💙

Jasper is SO distressed in kennels - he cries literally all day - he just wants to be with people, but sadly nobody suitable has come forward for him 💔

He had a meet and greet last week, but the family fell for his sister (Blue) instead … which is great for Blue, but so sad for our sweet Jasper 💙💔

Jasper is 19 months old and is quite a small Greyhound (he’s not a Whippet - but just as adorable ☺️). He can be a giddy kipper at times, but once he’s out of his kennel he settles really well and loves to just chill out 💙

Jasper walks well on his lead, could live with a friendly female larger breed dog, but is too much for smaller dogs (he doesn’t know he’s got such long legs 😅). He can live with older children 💙❤️

PLEASE if you can help by fostering, or offering a permanent home to Jasper… get in touch!!! This is very, very urgent and is becoming a big welfare issue for poor Jasper 💔💙💔

I has been having a little fink this morning about why no one wants me? I don’t think I’ve done anything wrong , I am only here cos my last pawrent went to heaven and I had no where to live 😞. I was so glad SSC was ere to look after me and want to say fank you to all the kennel crusaders and other supporters who make it possible for me to be so well cared for. I have put all the info about being a kennel crusader in de comments in case you would like to join this special club.
The aunties and uncles at SSC seem to love me lots so paws 🐾 crossed I will get new pawrent soon. I am only 7 years old , I love walks dog 🐕 , cuddles 🥰 and toys 🧸. If you would like to know more about me and maybe be my new mum or dad my linky thing is in the comments.
