Last week we were delighted to welcome a young filly from a new bloodline to us, but one many Irish breeders will be familiar with. I was only 10/11 years old when her grandmother Liscalgot won the gold medal at the World Equestrian Games with Dermott Lennon. They also won team gold at the European championships the year before I believe. The mother, Calgot Pleasure (x For Pleaure) was campaigned up to 1.60m level and has a number of exciting young prospects already in the sport from 1.35-1.50m. Her sire, Heartbreaker, is world renowned along with her dam-sire For Pleasure as broodmare sires, so we are looking forward to the future in sport and breeding with this lovely modern filly, aptly named “HEAVEN vd Berghoeve”. Hoping all goes well in preparation for homebred Cooley Lafitte and Jesse Campbell as he debuts at Badmintion this year. We’ve had 4 generations of this bloodline, and are very proud to have bred and owned Hugo (now Henry) until he left us as a green 5 year old. The special ones sometimes take time, his rider and owner have certainly done a fabulous job with him. Congratulations to the whole team that give these horses a chance to reach their full potential! 🙏🏻🤞🏻

Cooley Lafitte (Kilcorig Je T’aime) makes the list for Badminton Horse Trials 2024 🤩🥲

So proud of him and his mum Dot. Not only did she breed a 5* event horse, she bred another 3* Eventer and 1.40m SJ- our own, Kilcorig Belle who is also the dam of a 1.50m GP horse, Kilcorig Elysium.

A young girl and her dad’s dream to breed a horse capable of tackling one of the most challenging 5* events in the world. Hoping for a safe and sound lead up to the event over the next few weeks 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Kilcorig Belle as a 4 year old with dad. Belle is 18 this coming year! She jumped to 1.40m level, her oldest offspring Kilcorig Elysium has now jumped up to 1.50m. Her second is rising 6, has bred 2 foals and is now ready to start her career in sport. We also have 5 other offspring coming along behind.

Icing offspring strike again 💪🏻 Dunaghmore is in top form on the continent. A credit to breeders Tom and Linda Magee.

Icing’s last foal, a filly by Chezarro (x Casall) is now a 2 year old and we’re delighted to have her as part of our team.

Ustinov son fifth in 1.45m Zuidwolde
Representing the Netherlands at the CSI2* in Zuidwolde, Iris Hakvoort competed with the ISH registred Dunaghmore, an Ustinov son (ds.Cruising) bred by Tom and Linda Magee. With one time penalty, they finished sixth in the 1.40m class on Saturday.

Met de door Tom en Linda Magee gefokte, ISH geregistreerde Ustinov-zoon Dunaghmore (mv.Cruising) kwam Iris Hakvoort voor Nederland aan de start op het CSI2* in Zuidwolde. Met één punt voor tijdsoverschrijding eindigden ze zaterdags als zesde in het 1.40m.

Kilcorig Vitality is sired by the HSI Approved sire Vittorio and out of my own TIH mare Mullentine Irish Queen (Master Imp x Cruising x Clover Hill x King of Diamonds) ☘️

Looking forward to watching this super mare progress in her future career.

I’m special blue z

5 year old gelding getting some ring experience this weekend at the Meadows with Edward Little. He joined us at only 3 months old with his dam Crystal Blue bb. Crystal jumped at the world breeding championships as a 5 year old and finished her competitive career at 6 after jumping up to 1.30m. Her full brother Chuck Berry 8 jumped up to 1.60m with many wins at 1.45m level in the US. Two other brothers also jumped at 1.60m and 1.50m level.

Crystals oldest stock are now showing a lot of talent in young horse classes. Looking forward to the season watching Blue develop. Thanks also Ballymoss Stud - Patricia Stewart Greer who did a great job breaking and schooling as always.
