POLLEN/ HAY-FEVER SYMPTOMS RETURN WITH THE 🌧 ☀️
Having had such a dry summer, the summer allergies had died down a little but with the rain, everything has sprung into life and it’s like spring all over again. These symptoms will leave your horse more susceptible to dust, spores and secondary infection. When I think back over the years I’ve know lots of horses that has been sensitive to pollen, and could have been helped with Salt Therapy.
Salt Therapy is a completely natural treatment so is FEI and BHA legal and can really help your horse feel better and improve their performance.
Symptoms that that may indicate a pollen sensitivity or hay-fever…..
- runny eyes
- head shaking
- face rubbing
- coughing
- runny nose
- wheezing
- coughing
- respiratory symptoms but no temperature
PS Tune the volume up and you will hear this little mare has runny eyes, and is sneezing. Sneezing during treatment is a good sign
If you’d like more information or think your horse may have symptoms please drop me a message or give me a call.

Charlie
Been a bit lapse with posting about my clients last few weeks, rest assured I’ve been out and about treating just preoccupied the rest of the time with family stuff.
So here’s a video of the lovely Charlie, getting his top up. Charlie has asthma and has responded really well to salt therapy. His breathing and exercise tolerance has improved and he’s now able to enjoy long hacks again with his mum.
Lottie has just started with salt therapy and her owner has already noticed less head shaking. Lottie has pollen allergies
Woody getting his monthly top up. Woody has asthma and summer allergies, including head shaking
Lovely Charlie completed his initial course of Salt Therapy last week. Charlie has recently been diagnosed with COPD, salt therapy will help clear his lungs of obstructions ( mucous) and cleanse his respiratory system
A very salt Eric, day 3 of his initial cleanse ( finally got it posted 🤣)
Eric has sweetitch and seasonal allergies. Salt therapy will help sooth his skin, and clear his airways. Salt is naturally antibacterial, antihistamine and anti inflammatory
A bit late posting but I get there in the end 🤣
Day 3 for Jasper.
Jasper has sweet itch so is very itchy and has rubbed his mane this winter.
The beautiful Ellie getting her salt top up. Ellie has a persistent cough, so it will take a few sessions to really help her.
Salt therapy is very relaxing as you can see, Cato is super chilled.
Cato has really sore, itchy skin on his tummy, arm pits, around his eyes and in his ears ( that’s why his ears are foldef up, to allow the salt to get into his ears). Salt theory is fantastic for treating skin conditions amd allergies as salt is naturally antibacterial, anti inflammatory and antihistamine.
Does your dog have allergies? Itchy irritated Skin? Ear infections/gunky ears? Respiratory/mucous issues?
Salt therapy treats from the inside and outside.
Microscopic particles of medical grade rock salt are inhaled deep into lungs, this attracts water to the lungs via osmosis, which helps thin mucous, making it easier for your dog to bring it up and clear.
Salt also lands on the skin where it soothes irritated skin, stops the itch and helps heal the skin.
Salt enters the ears, where salts natural antimicrobial properties help sooth and clear gunky ears, infections and gunky ears.
Salt is naturally antibacterial, anti inflammatory and antihistamine so naturally soothes the respiratory system and skin.
Salt therapy is completely natural safe and compliments traditional veterinary interventions.
Sweep has had a claw removed and is having salt therapy to help his wound heal
Day 3 of Ellie’s Salt therapy.
Day 2 for the very handsome Kip.
Sweep throughly enjoying his monthly salt top up.
Worried your stable isn’t suitable for Salt Therapy❓
There’s lots of things that we can do to make your stable as air tight as possible . We have various clear tarpaulins that can be clipped to bars, door frames etc. Field shelters or gated stables can usually be made suitable too.
American barns can be tricky but their are ways around it, using sheeting, just needs a bit of thought.
Sometimes it takes a bit longer, if your concerned then send me a video and I can advise.
We can usually find a way or I run clinics from my yard.
Drop me a message or give me a call.
