Have you seen Tom?
Tom has been missing since 16:00 on Wednesday 15th May. He disappeared after relaxing in a neighbours garden and hasn’t been seen since. He is 4years old and although loves the outdoors he always comes home. He is well known by all neighbours and pest controls at the farm so is also known by them too, and nobody has seen him.
He is mostly black with a little white stripe on his nose, a white fur collar that goes right down to his tummy and he has white front and back paws.

We've had a four-day hot weather warning in the UK. If it's going to be hot where you live, please don't walk your dog in the heat. Walk them either early in the morning or late at night.
We'll be posting some top tips on how to keep your dog cool, so stay tuned.
Stay safe in the heat. ❤️

Dogs die in hot cars. It's a fact. If your car is left parked in the sun and the temperature outside is 24°C, then in 10 minutes, the interior can reach 34°C. In just half an hour, that can climb to 48°C. That's hotter than a July day in Death Valley. Never leave a dog in a parked car, even if it doesn’t seem that warm.
Parking your car in the shade won't help, nor will opening the window. The only thing to guarantee your dog doesn't die of overheating in your car is to leave them at home with fresh water, shade and shelter.
If you have to travel with your dog when it's hot, make sure you have the air conditioning or some cool air coming into the car, stop for regular breaks where they can get some shade and fresh air and always have fresh water on board. Consider a cooling mat or cool coat for them to wear while securely strapped in, as this will help reduce their temperature considerably.

If your dog is getting hot, take them to a cooler area as quickly as possible.
Offer water to drink, and douse their entire body in cold water.
Keep reapplying cold water so that their skin is in constant contact with it.
Seek urgent veterinary attention if your dog is showing signs of heatstroke.

If your cat appears unwell after getting hot, seek veterinary advice urgently. The quicker they can begin to treat them, the better their chances. Your vet may put them on a drip if they are severely dehydrated, and treat any consequences of severe heat stroke, such as seizures.

What is flystrike?
Flystrike happens as a result of flies laying their eggs on a rabbit's fur. Flies do this when the fur is dirty or damp, and it's usually the fur around the rabbit's bottom that is affected.

Did you know that it is not just cats and dogs that suffer from heatstroke?
It is vital to ensure that heatstroke is treated early. In hot weather, check your bunnies regularly and watch out for signs of lethargy, rapid or shallow breathing, hot ears, wetness around the nose or stretching out fully with sprawled feet and a limp tail.
Contact your vet immediately if you think that your rabbit may be suffering from heatstroke.

Your dog’s annual injections include vaccination against parvo, so it’s vital to keep these up to protect your pet against this serious infection. Puppies can be vaccinated against canine parvovirus from around six weeks old. As well as protecting your dog or puppy against this nasty and potentially serious disease, regular vaccination is required by kennels and pet insurers as a condition of cover.
