Dog on the Hill Fully accredited Dog-Friendly, 1-to-1 dog training, puppy classes and behaviour therapy. Jane Robinson A.

Whether you're the owner of a new puppy or an older dog who could benefit from learning some manners, I can help with all areas of training and behaviour modification. Based in North London, I specialise in individual one-to-one home training. I only use kind, fair and effective methods as practised by the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT). I also focus on the special but sometimes confusing

relationship between children and dogs. Using positive reinforcement, your dog will learn that he/she is being rewarded for doing what you want. Training with ‘Dog on the Hill‘ will be an enjoyable way for your dog to learn and all methods used will be based on the most resent science and evidence based protocols. Training will be fast and simple and a wonderful way for you to bond with your dog. Dip CBM, is a full member and a Director of the APDT (MAPDT 01194). Jane is also a Director of the UK Training and Behaviour Charter. She has an Advanced Diploma in Canine Behaviour Management (passed with distinction) and is registered with the ABTC (animal behaviour and training council). Jane is a fully accredited scent-work instructor and Separation Anxiety specialist.

In dog training, proofing a behaviour means practicing a learned behaviour in various environments, with distractions, and under different conditions to ensure the dog reliably responds to cues in real-world situations. Tonight Pickle 🥒 is proofing her mat training in the pub…..a dirty job, but someone’s gotta do it.

Rosie’s owners contacted me in March after she’d been diagnosed with diabetes and they were struggling to give her daily insulin injections. I’m so happy to have received the following from Rosie’s owners who were onboard with adopting a cooperative care approach that gave Rosie the choice to voluntarily participate in her own care.

If your 🐶 puppy finds your fingers the tastiest things on the 🌍 - then you’re not alone!
🦷 Puppies have 28 🪒 sharp baby teeth that begin to fall out between 4 - 6 months of age. These are replaced by 42 adult teeth…..and it’s all very painful 😥. Our job is to make sure that we have plenty of appropriate and safe items on which our pups can chew. So hang in there! Puppy biting is completely normal behaviour - it will end!

Lee decided that learning the value of her name was enough for one day. That was fine with us because sleep 💤 💤 is so important for a puppy’s 🐶 brain and body development. .gsp

….Because they’ve just aced their separation anxiety training and have left their dog happily home alone. Separation Anxiety does not have to be a life sentence ❤️ By taking a systematic approach that goes at your dog’s pace, we can gently build their confidence and teach them that being home alone is safe. Small steps lead to huge and happy changes! training
