Seeing Margot in Grandma’s House 🥹🫶🏻
BACK STORY: If you didn’t already know, Grandma’s House was named as a nod to my late Nan, who taught me everything from knitting to sewing. I grew up wanting to be JUST like her. She got me my first very own sewing machine when I was about 10 years old (a teeny tiny one from a catalogue 🥹) and when she passed away I was left her sewing machine. It’s my Nan who inspired me to create and this crochet design just reminds me of her, always making little granny squares watching tv and suddenly in no time at all she’d whizzed up a whole blanket or a cardigan.. she amazed me!
This was also the last pattern Ted ever wore 🫶🏻 so seeing his little sister rocking the 3-click for him is just 🥹

Hello Puppers 👋🏼 sorry it’s been a while since our last update. It’s been a funny month / 6 weeks since Ted. With that, and the stress of sorting the warehouse move (that fell through on dates twice) it’s all been abit much to be honest!
But FINALLY we are on the move TOMORROW! I’m really looking forward to our fresh start so whilst we finish packing up today and moving over this weekend I thought I’d pop on a little discount for you all just to say thank you for your patience over the last few weeks 🙏🏼

It’s been two weeks since I lost my best friend 💔
It’s the longest time I’ve ever been without him, the longest we’d ever been apart was 8 days. I feel like I’m still waiting for him to return from a holiday at my mums, or a walk with his dog walker.. yet at the exact same time I’m so very aware he isn’t here. The world feels different without Ted in it.
These are the 10 things that I miss the most about him these last few weeks:
1. The sound of him just breathing whilst sleeping. I can’t tell you how loud the silence is without that quiet hum in the background.
2. His loud obnoxious BARK at anyone that entered a room. He was full of anxiety, but so very loving at the same time.
3. His constant demand, pawing and barking for scratches.
4. The smell of his paws and ears.
5. Stroking his ears.. they were the softest 🥺🥹
6. Tripping over him whenever I went because he wasn’t more than a few steps behind me.
7. The way he’d run towards me as soon as I opened a cheese packet even if he was sound asleep.
8. Him laying fully on my chest, warm, snuggly, comfort.
9. Kissing him between the little crook of his eyes and nose.
10. The broken squeaky air sound of his favourite purple ball 🟣 which he’d only ever pick up when he was tired and walk to the door to tell us he wanted to go upstairs to bed 🥺
I could go on and on, there are 100’s of things I miss about you bear 🐻
Not sure what the point of this post is but it just feels like a safe space to post. This whole business is him, and it feels weird to not continue to talk about him now that he’s gone.
I’ve had so many messages from so many of you who have also lost your best friends, it’s been so lovely to learn all about them so thank you for sharing them with me 🤍 I just want anyone who has gone through, is going through, or feels like that decision is approaching.. that you’re not alone, and you’re allowed to feel any emotion you are feeling. Your grief is your own, wear it however feels natural 🤍

I’ve seen so many Frenchies the last few days, I don’t know if it’s just because I’m hoping I’ll spot Ted’s face somewhere out walking or what.. but I even had a car in front of me today driving into work with a Frenchie sticker peeking out at me on their back window! They’re following me everywhere.. and it’s comforting because I sure miss my boy! (Pssst anyone local with a Frenchie that can let me take them for a walk I’ll love you forever 🥹😅)
It’s been a strange few weeks, it’s been really tough but I feel like I’ve literally had an army of you to hold me up 🤍 so thank you!
I’ll get back to posting regularly with your doggos in their Pop + Ted threads.. just trying to manage the important tasks for this upcoming move first. And secondly my personal inbox which has spiralled a little out of control.. but I’m getting there, little steps!
Thank you everyone for spreading your kindness like dog hair especially with this flash warehouse sale.. I have a few charities / rescues in mind that I’ve donated to previously and/or know and love.. but I will be taking a look at as many as I can that need some supplies and will look to help as many as I can, I’ll have a count up after the sale ends tonight at 8pm and report back as to how many items we’ll be donating… it’s definitely in the hundreds which is INCREDIBLE!! 🥹 and to the kind souls who have placed orders and asked me to donate the entire order on your behalf you’ve truly touched my heart and I will add in some extras with those donations too! Our boy is home 🤍
I just wanted to take the time to say the biggest thank you to Cherry Tree Pet Crematorium. This day last week we took Ted to the vet for the final time where ultimately, they offered to put Ted down there and then.
Ted absolutely hated the Vets, he had such fear every time we visited which unfortunately since December was very often. Nobody ever wants to think about putting down their dog, and nobody wants to do it (I mean I literally ran out of the doors of the vets to be sick because I couldn’t bear what I was hearing) and I just couldn’t stand the thought of his last moments to be at a place he was so frightened of.. that wasn’t the last moment for me 🥺💔
So to come across Cherry Tree Gentle Farewells who came to our house, were so gentle, caring, understanding and just so incredible from start to finish made our last moment just so peaceful and as ‘lovely’ as it could be. It allowed me to hold my bear in my arms and cuddle him to sleep forever 🤍
They didn’t rush us, they were so kind and considerate and I’m so so grateful of their service at such a heart breaking time. From start to finish, they cared for our bear as if he was their own, took time to find out about Ted and returned us our boy with the most beautiful set of nose and paw prints that I will truly cherish forever.
I hope you never have to use their service (in the kindest way) but if you do, I couldn’t recommend them enough. And I’m so thankful they could give us those last moments.

Backstory: I’ve been waiting ages for a delivery of 3-click harnesses in designs you guys had been giving me feedback for to bring out. Was supposed to arrive for Crufts and didn’t.. anyway
This morning just 2 boxes arrive.. and inside are Wild Leopard Khaki and Grandma’s House… both in HIS size 🥺
These are the only two designs of his I want to keep in everything, my favourite on him and literally his FIRST ever OG Pop + Ted design… and his last 💔
I’m absolutely gutted that he will never get to wear these but I’ll reserve 2 for you bear, don’t worry 🤍 thank you for showing me you’re okay Bear ☀️
And yes, that’s his and Margot’s hair all over the floor too 🥹 she’s so quiet bless her heart she loved her Ted so much 🤍

This is such a hard thing to post, and I cannot believe I’m writing it.. but tomorrow our beautiful sunshine boy, my bestest friend, my absolute soul dog, Ted.. will be crossing the rainbow bridge 🌈
As many of you will know he suddenly began having seizures in December completely out of the blue which we’ve been trying to manage and get to the bottom of, but the last few weeks his health has rapidly deteriorated.. he has no balance, his back legs are so weak he can barely stand, he is blind in his left eye and just sleeps all the time, he doesn’t want to do anything and my little sunshine boy has just been disappearing before my eyes…he woke up screaming out in pain today and on top of all of this and his seizures has a slipped disc 💔
There are so many words I have for my incredible boy, but for now I would absolutely love it if you could wear Poppy + Ted tomorrow for my best boy, or if you don’t own any perhaps you can become a first time customer tomorrow in honour of Ted. He’s my whole reason for starting this brand and I’d love to see my feed full of Poppy + Ted before I have to let him go 🤍
Thank you for all of the love and check ins over the last few months, I hope Ted bought you all some smiles over the last almost 6 years of P+T 🤍

Crufts 2024 we’re ready for you! HALL 2 STAND 1B - Thursday 7th - Sunday 10th March 🐶🐶🐶
This arrived about a month ago now, and heck we achieved it way back last year. And I was just going to let it slide like everything else but.. NO. You know, it’s been (almost) 6 years and I still struggle to celebrate achievements, always chasing the next thing, and the next thing and never taking a moment to step back and just be in the moment. It’s just not in my nature to get comfortable and I struggle with ‘praise’. I can’t lie - it’s not been a linear road. It’s not always been smiles and sales (and still isn’t). I unexpectedly lost my dad just 3 months into starting Poppy + Ted, and 18 months after that my Stepdad too. I don’t tell you that for pity, but just because everything can seem so happy and rosey on this social platform but absolutely everybody is going through their own struggles. You’d think that was an understandable reason to give up not once, but twice. But I threw everything into growing this business, (without any business qualifications or the know how) totally blind, but a fire in my belly to succeed. There were days I worked 18+ hours a day for weeks straight, there were days I wanted to give up, days no sales came in, crazy patches, quiet patches, risks, neglected relationships, burn out, breakthroughs, literally shooting in the dark sometimes and utter joy too.I juggled (and still juggle) a growing business, carrying grief and navigating motherhood all for the first time. I get stuck in ruts, but I have a dream. And to have this arrive at my desk just hit me so hard to slow down and just look at what I’ve done. Where Poppy + Ted is today. I am proud, I’m proud of me, I’m proud of my amazing team, my amazing friends and family and YOU. All of you. Thank you for getting me here. You’ve allowed me to support my family, to set a legacy for my little girl and just live my dream. And for that, I’m eternally grateful.
