❄️ Cold spell incoming! ❄️
With chilly weather (and possibly some snow!) on the way, plus the return of that delightful winter mud, we’d really appreciate it if owners could leave out coats for their dogs. Coats help keep your dogs warm, limit mud coverage (think dogs and mud, you get the picture 😂) and make drying off after walks much quicker for us!

Our favourite is the (as modelled beautifully by Murphy), but please don’t feel you need to rush out and buy one, they are an investment, and any coat is absolutely fine!

Fun fact: Equafleece even makes a human version… which may or may not be on our Christmas list this year 👀🎄

Stay warm, everyone!

🌈 We were so sad to hear that Archie crossed the rainbow bridge this week. He was the gentlest soul, a beautiful black and white collie who joined us for a few lovely walks down by the riverbank when the others from his household were off competing.

He had an incredible past, a talented flyball dog and part of the team who made it to Crufts.

Sending all our love and support to his family at this sad and difficult time. We miss you Archie, run free up there 🌈 🖤🤍

The last 14 weeks have been a huge lesson in slowing down, healing, and leaning on others (literally!).

I never imagined I’d be seeing a neurosurgeon instead of walking dogs every day, but life has had other plans. While I focus on recovery, Sarah has been incredible through her own challenges, and together we’ve found two amazing new walkers who fit our little family perfectly.

These photos tell the story, of our ups our downs, our dogs, and the people who make this business what it is. 💛

Thank you for the support and patience whilst our little team grows stronger.

🙏 Huge THANK YOU to Eleanor

While I’ve been off with my back injury, she’s stepped in like a total star 🌟

🐾 Taken on 1-2-1 walks
🐾 Brilliant with reactivity
🐾 Dogs have absolutely loved her!

Some people just come along at the right time, and Eleanor has been one of them, I’m forever grateful.

Wishing her all the best as she heads into her next year at uni.

And as for us… a new chapter is starting soon 👀 stay tuned!

🧡 August Roundup in September! Mainly because I refuse to enter the ‘ber’ months having almost missed the summer months!

🧡 Eleanor joined the team and has been a huge help in maintaining walk stability. Her photo skills are certainly worthy of a place on the grid!

🧡 A few of our August highlights (there have been many) from both the business, and our personal albums which we hope you enjoy.

🧡 As my season leaves us, Sarah D is entering hers! Welcome the ‘ber’ months 🍂

🐾 We’re Hiring – Dog Walker Wanted! 🐾

I’m looking for a reliable, dog-loving person to join my small team while I initially recover from a back injury, but then support the increased demand that we are experiencing.

📍 Based around the Brigg area (or willing to travel)
🗓 Starting mid-September
⏰ Hours: Part-time, roughly between 10am – 2pm. This is a flexible cover role, so days may vary week to week depending on client needs.

✨ What I’m looking for:
• A genuine love for dogs, with an understanding of basic dog behaviour
• Confidence handling dogs of all breeds, sizes & temperaments - including group walks
• Full driving license & own transport
• Group walks are done in the company van (you’ll be insured to drive it). Full licence required.
• Reliability to work to a schedule, independently, and in all weathers 🌦️
• Flexibility with hours, as walks may vary day to day

🐕 Walks are a mix of group walks, solo walks, and puppy visits.

📌 Closing date for applications: Sunday 8th September (or sooner if the right person is found).

👉 To apply: Please send me a message with a little about your experience with dogs (a CV is great if you have one) to [email protected]
Sarah.

💛 A little update from me 💛

Some of you already know, that I’m currently dealing with a possible herniated disc which is pressing on nerves and leaving me unable to work. I’m 5 weeks in now and had an MRI last week, so just awaiting results. In my painkiller induced state, I’m still working away in the background (usually in my pyjamas!) to keep on top of everything admin wise.

In the meantime, I’m so grateful to have Eleanor join the team on a short-term basis while she’s on her uni break until the end of September. Some of you might remember her from when she did work experience with me a few years ago! She’s got a wealth of dog experience, particularly with reactivity, and she’s already proving to be a fantastic hit on her 1-2-1 walks.

Sarah’s husband is stable at the moment, though he’ll need another operation in September. Thank you all so much for the kind wishes you’ve sent his way, it really does mean a lot to her and the whole team.

Thank you all for your patience, kindness, and continued support, it means the world while we continue to juggle everything behind the scenes.

Running a little late, but July deserves its recap, even the messy bits, because life has been a lot.

🌧️ Rainy days and sunshine (there’s a song there)
💃 An Abba concert that made us feel invincible!
🚗 A driving test passed (woohoo!).
❤️ Family time
But also…
💔 Emergencies. Health problems.
😭 Tears, pain, hard days and uncertainty
Trying to figure it out, when it all gets messy.

I debated posting this tearful photo of me mid-meltdown, but honestly? This is part of it too. Life isn’t always polished or pretty or even full of cute dog photos. Sometimes we’re just doing our best to keep going, to find light in the chaos.

Here’s to anyone else feeling the highs and lows all at once. We hear you! X

Just a little update as we head into a new week

Firstly, thank you again to everyone who’s been so understanding since my last post. Your flexibility and support has made a huge difference during what’s been a bit of a whirlwind behind the scenes.

Sarah’s husband is now home and recovering well after surgery ❤️‍🩹,which is a huge relief, sending him lots of healing vibes. He still has a long road ahead and more surgery to come, but for now can rest up. While Sarah is still rightly focused on family, many of you have kindly taken on walks yourselves, and that’s helped ease the diary and keep everything running smoothly.

As for me, I’m still in recovery mode with my back, and it’s becoming clearer that this may take a little longer than I first hoped. So I’m now looking at alternative ways to navigate things, keeping care consistent for your dogs, but in a way that protects my own health long term too.

Thanks again for sticking with me, I’ll keep you all updated as plans take shape, and I’ll be in touch with each of you directly if any changes are needed.

Sarah x
