Fleas/Ticks: Hickmans Hounds strives to be a flea/tick-free environment. If your dog has a flea or tick infestation we will ask that you do not attend day care until the problem is under control. Dogs with a flea or tick infestation carry a risk of anaemia, infections, tapeworms and other health problems. We recommend that you contact your veterinarian for advice on the best treatment for your situation. A topical monthly flea preventative may be the most effective choice please get advice from your vet. Treating all pets in the family, as well as treating your home will help in keeping fleas and ticks under control for the long term. If fleas are found/seen on your dog we will contact you to collect your dog asap and cancel day care bookings. If your dog seems in distress we will have no choice but to seek a veterinary consult and unfortunately the cost of treatment will then be forwarded to the customer. - Paulette Hickman 🐶

As alot of you know already we acquired 2 kittens recently who will eventually need new loving homes to go to. They will be fully vaccinated,microchiped and flea/wormed. Cost to be discussed privately. Both are boys one black/dark brown with white socks and a tabby one. No main roads and were asking that they go to a home who has a cat/kitten already or that they go togher. I will not be rehoming to just anyone the necessary checks and questions will be done/asked to ensure a good home for life. Please feel free to message us for more pictures and for any questions you have. Currently estimated to be 7 weeks old so won't be ready to leave us for a few more weeks. *please note the tabby one has an eye issue atm which vets have said it may have to be removed(got another appointment next week to discuss options however this will be sorted before he goes to his new home.
