Loki and Gracie are a mother and daughter pair, who are incredibly gentle and mild mannered. They both have the same melodic purr which sounds like they are singing.

Loki, the black cat is Gracie's mum. Loki is confident, happy, affectionate and loves humans. She is a very special cat who loves a lap and loves attention.

Beautiful Gracie is more shy and will need someone patient who will take time to get to know her. Once she gets to know you, she shows her sweet and affectionate nature and enjoys playing with her dangly toys.

They are very bonded and will need to be homed together.

If Loki and Gracie could be just what you're looking for please register online or call us on 01189 722082

It's definitely getting cold now, so if you are looking after outside cats, it's time to help them stay warm!

The ideal of course would be to allow cats indoors during colder periods. However, this may not be possible with non-domestic cats.

To help outdoor cats keep warm, you should provide them with a water resistant shelter ideally in an area protected from wind and rain.

🐾 Raise them up off the ground so they don't get damp.
🐾 Use straw (NOT HAY) to provide an insulated bed.
🐾 Silver emergency blankets will also add some insulation placed underneath the straw.
🐾 Do not use blankets which will also quickly become damp and cold.
🐾 Keep the shelter away from areas where there is a lot of foot traffic.
🐾 The shelter should be easy to exit if the cat gets frightened.
🐾 Don't make it too big, a smaller shelter will allow the cat to use its own body heat in the smaller space to keep warm.

It's also important to ensure cats have fresh water and lots of dry food to fuel up on. Ensure the food and water is in a sheltered, dry, quiet area, especially for unsocial cats who are unlikely to use a shelter or eat in a space where they don't feel safe.

We replace the straw in all our outdoor beds regularly, except in Sunshine's day bed because she has her favourite cushion in there 😻
